2 things:

1) Rotten Tomatoes is an aggregate site. It takes ALL the reviews submitted and uses that to gauge the movie's score.

2) BvS is not at a certified fresh rating. It's rotten according to RT.

1 thing:

1) We're talking audience score.

Audience score isn't what certifies a movie on RT though. And while I disagree with the movie being given a 30% approval rating....it's just how the critics voted.

Why not?
Because there is 3 basic ratings given.

1. Rotten
2. Fresh
3. Certified fresh

An average movie shouldn't be eligible to be in the top category.

The Audience score doesn't reach the level of certified fresh either. that requires a 75%, the AS is currently 74%.

The film isn't going to have legs to stand on. I'll be dammed surprised if this film crosses 900 million world wide.

I know this.

Let's say that film had a critic score of 76%, would you still say that 76% is average?

It would be very slightly above average.

If you consider 75% to be great, what do you consider 100%?

Maybe. I'm pretty apathetic for this movie at this point.

I originally estimated this to make over 1 billion. After all the negative reviews however I'm not sure if it will make more than 1 billion; though I do feel it's still within reach. You have to keep in mind, a lot of DC fans are going to view this as a masterpiece. They haven't ever had anything like this on the big screen before so they're going to flock to it over and over. I don't feel the GA will however, and that's gonna hurt it.

I don't consider 75% to be great, I consider it to be good.

Also.

Agreed.

I actually have little desire to watch this again due to Luther and Doomsday, which is unusual. If I do it will be because of how great Batman turned out.

Civil War stands to easily destroy this record.

Yeah, I never had too much interest in this movie to begin with.

It's as much shit as MOS IMO. Don't be too happy. I'm not Golgo.

So why have you been making such a big deal about 75% being in the highest category?

China had a 20 million opening day? That sounds pretty good.

Because you said it was average.

I'm still really pissed about Luthor. It's the same thing in Fantastic Four. Instead of just giving us a comic accurate representation; they give us a ****ing laughing-stock.

Rip good villains.
