the rock tweeted about being in talks with dc.. and apparently, also denzel washington.. a lot of big names being thrown into this movie..

The Denzel Washington is rumored to play a Green Lantern.

^ I heard that, too. I mean, I like Denzel a lot, but he seems like a strange choice to me, I guess because he always seems to play the 'badder' dudes. I just have trouble seeing him as squeaky clean.

Denzel sounds like a bad choice to me.

But I doubt he wants to be in a superhero movie or was offered to be in one.

Denzel is too old to be Jon Stewart, IMO. Good actor, but too old. Denzel just wants to get in on the upcoming JLA franchise to stack some serious paper.

Idris Elba is a better choice.

They're sitting on a gold mine.

I don't see why anyone would complain about Denzel playing any superhero or supervillain. The guy is a brilliant actor. If he plays Lex Luthor, I'm on board with that. If he plays Green Lantern I'm on board with that too.

Sure he's getting old, but hey it's not like Robert Downey's exactly young. And I'm sure people had much harsher complaints about him when he was originally cast as Tony Stark.

So yeah, I for one hope he gets cast in as a big DC comic character.

i always thought the dude who played Curtis on "24" would be a good GL John Stewart.

I'd be happy with Idris Elba. Cat's a solid actor who can perform when given a good script.

My fear is that they get some rapper for the role, to try and bring in the the pre-teen to late teen white kids in.
