Urm... Every one of those fans who are relieved/happy about the box office liked the movie, so no idea where you've got that idea from.

The thing that struck me was that, while people might argue that the dark tone hurt Superman, it was, imo, almost ideal for Batman.

That's what I said. And the movie is 50%+ Batman. But people here are arguing the tone should have been different for each character. However I'm pretty sure in that scenario the complaint would have been "the tone of this movie was all over the place."

Just about every one of those fans have admitted that the film had multiple problems, it's just that they don't care because it's making good money.
Yeah it wasn't a masterpiece. But does it really have to be perfect?
Also for those of us who liked it, we felt the film left us wanting more at the end. And the financial success means we don't have to worry about a reboot.
The studio will work on the film's flaws because no studio wants their major blockbuster to have a score of 30% from critics. But financial success means a Flash movie, a Justice League movie and no damn reboot again.

Yet the last several pages have been devoted to money rather than what was good or bad about the movie. How well the movie does is clearly more important than it's quality.
On the contrary for the last week all anyone was talking about was how this movie sucks because the critics say so. So clearly critics views are more important than forming our own opinions and fan enjoyment of the movie.

I can literally quote dozens of posts from this very thread that proves that isn't true.
As can I, to prove the opposite. And to prove that nobody here is more bothered about financial success over quality.
Honestly I'm really not sure what your whining about. Just seems some of you here want to argue over this movie's success.
You can't prove the opposite, because the opposite of me saying that your statement isn't true would be that your statement is indeed true. only your statement isn't true and I can post the quotes to prove it.
See below for a post about how much money it's making. thus your statement of "On the contrary for the last week all anyone was talking about was how this movie sucks because the critics say so." has been proven to be false. I can post dozens of others if you like.

Urmmm what exactly is your post supposed to prove? Golgo enjoyed the movie, so how does that prove Financial success is more important to him than Quality?
You also do realise that Quality without financial success would be pretty useless for this film as the whole thing would likely end up getting rebooted right?
This making its money back means we get further DCEU films with different characters (and Directors for that matter). Why would people who enjoyed this movie not be happy about that? Why would anyone (except haters) want this movie to fail?
I think Pr and Ares found the quality lacking so both said they hope the movie doesn't make "too much" so WB will course correct a little. But as fans they certainly don't want this to fail.
Case in point, here's what Badabing said about the film's financial success in the other forum:

I'm glad the movie did well at the box office. If the movie is as meh as people say, at least WB can correct the future movies. I'll be seeing it tomorrow.
Also everyone for the last week has been posting critics so much. Well repeat business is actually a better indicator of audience reaction to this film than critics reviews.

[B]I'm not sure I liked that Batman didn't have a no-kill / no-guns rule at all. That's a big part of his character, some would argue, a flaw.
To put things into context,
Spoiler:
it was a dream sequence that has Bats armed with 2 pistols shooting at the bad guys.
And I think it's only fair that if the bad guys are armed & intent on killing Batman then there's no reason why Bats shouldn't be able to turn those weapons against them.
Then you have the warehouse scene where
Spoiler:
Batman's first move is to sabotage all the firearms & turn the battle into hand to hand/.
