Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

That said I think it might have been too early for a Batman this brutal, right after the Nolan series, where him not killing was made into a pretty big part of his moral code.

We've known this film was based in part on Miller's TDKR, so the brutality (most of it at least) fits in, imo.

Granted, Synder did a shit-job in explaining why and there was a lot that the GA who isn't aware of the comic-history would be left thinking "wtf"

Yah, my point isn't that people should hate the fact Batman is a killer. But it's that people (myself included) are more than justified for being annoyed with it. I prefer the Batman with a code. Also, it makes this Batman an incredible hypocrite. The fact he takes offense to the way Superman handles his business while he brands and murders criminals make him "A little hypocritical, don't you think?"

I have no excuses for this film, it was awful. The only part I enjoyed was Batman's warehouse scene and Gal Gadot turned out to look great in the WW outfit.

4/10 for me, not something I can see myself ever watching again, tbh. Fire Synder, postphone production on JL and get a director and writer combo that can do these characters justice.

Many have the same opinion as yours.

Apparently, Alfred was done well, too. But that's no surprise, Irons is just that awesome. Too bad it's just a supporting character, can't save the movie even if he wanted to.

You copied my review about her and the only good action sequence. Still living in my shadow. Next time be a man and have an opinion before you hear mine.

Iron's was fine as Alfred, but he has a total of what, 5-6mins of screen time? Would be nice if he has more than a passing role in a solo Affleck-Batman film. Just keep Synder out of it completely.

I'll just sum it up without any spoilers. Meh ville. No heart to the film. The fight between Batman and Superman was poorly done. I didn't care for Ben Affleck. I didn't think he was terrible but he didn't stand out at all. Superman was just there in the film if that makes any sense. Lex wasn't as bad as I thought he would be but he wasn't good either. Wonderwoman I thought was nicely done. Short role but she did the role Justice.

Doomsday was god awful. I cannot believe anyone thought he looked good or that the fight was handled well. The film took forever to get to the battles near the end and I couldn't wait for this film to end. All in all meh ville. No pulse to this film aka no emotions.

LoLz

So something very random I heard someone else who watched the film also bring up, but

Spoiler:
why did they leave Clark's open casket so near to the food table? That seems awfully unsanitary.

I said I didn't care for Ben Affleck in my first post. He was better than Henry but that isn't saying much. Wonderwoman was the bright spot which you copied along with the Batman thugs fight scene being the only impressive action sequence.

Ant man stunk too. 😂

Thanks for proving I don't just like movies based off the company. I am objective and Robtard will prove it.

Urmmm what exactly is your post supposed to prove? Golgo enjoyed the movie, so how does that prove Financial success is more important to him than Quality?

You also do realise that Quality without financial success would be pretty useless for this film as the whole thing would likely end up getting rebooted right?

This making its money back means we get further DCEU films with different characters (and Directors for that matter). Why would people who enjoyed this movie not be happy about that? Why would anyone (except haters) want this movie to fail?

I think Pr and Ares found the quality lacking so both said they hope the movie doesn't make "too much" so WB will course correct a little. But as fans they certainly don't want this to fail.

Case in point, here's what Badabing said about the film's financial success in the other forum:

Also everyone for the last week has been posting critics so much. Well repeat business is actually a better indicator of audience reaction to this film than critics reviews.

My post proves that your statement of "On the contrary for the last week all anyone was talking about was how this movie sucks because the critics say so." was wrong.

Batmanv and Superman are the most popular heroes on the planet. From either company.
A huge part of their character is that they don't kill. Otherwise Joker would be dead. Luthor would be dead, etc.
This aspect to their character cannot be tampered with because it's a part of what makes them who they are.
If you take that away then you are basically taking the souls away from these characters.

Other heroes get a pass because they don't live my this rule to a T.
Also the fact that they are not as iconic as Batman or Superman.

DC heroes are just incompetent assholes.

Not surprised, theater I saw it in easily sits 700 and it was barely a third filled.

Good. It gets what it deserves. Hopefully it doesn't go anywhere near 1 bil.

Whatever kicks Synder off of JL, that

I've decided to hold off to see it until next weekend when I'll have my choice of good seating in the theatre. Theatres here in the Bay were packed on Friday and Saturday and I wound up with other plans for my birthday. I don't think that will be the case next week. My Facebook feed is full of people complaining about the film. The only person I know that liked it was my best friend Paul who saw it with his wife and basically said that the action was good, Batman and Wonder Woman were good, but Lex Luthor was terrible, Doomsday's fight scene looked like Dragonball Z, and Superman looked and acted like a depressed punk b*tch throughout the film.

I watched it with 7 other adults, only 1 enjoyed it. Of the 5 children, only two enjoyed it.

George Lucas was there with his wife, sat about two rows behind me. He was smiling when he left, not sure if that was a "that was good" or "what a ****ing turd" smile.
