Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Most people I know love Bane. And they still imitate the shit out of him.

I liked Bane, movie still average at best and worse after each watch though.

Didn't say he was great. But he is memorable none the less (even if it's for jokes). Apoc however won't stand out in people's memories (in the long run) for any reason IMO.

I would go so far to say Bane was great. He is way, way underrated among comic book fanboys because they can't see the forest for the trees. They focus so much on the inconsequential b.ullshit(Venom, his voice, his height, his ethnicity, etc) that they can't see that he is a wholly original character who is both completely terrifying and evil but with a tragic backstory and motivations that DO make sense when you think about them.

Movie Apocalypse had some memorable lines, just like any other version of the character, though so did Bane to his credit as pointed out.

I get why Bane was liked, and I wasn't one of the people who nitpicked certain things like his ethnicity (which even I thought was stupid to make some big deal about), but the way Bane got lowballed the moment Talia was revealed still ruined him for me, in the end, and the anticlimactic death to boot. At least Apocalypse went down fighting.

But meh, it's different strokes as far as comparing the two.

Who wouldn't want to see the murder-mobile at least once?

Lol. Well I don't think Apocalypse will gross north of 800mill. So the DCEU 2 films in is already a bigger franchise than Fox's X-Men which has been growing for many years.

That's assuming of course the DCEU future films don't bomb now.

It'll probably do around 700 m. Assuming the legs are good OS. DCEU also gross more than MCU first 10 or so. SS is summers most talked about on social media, so I'm thinking that one will gross more than Marvels movies. It will have a huge opening for sure.

Doubt Apocalypse will hit $700mill.

Dunno if you account for inflation, 3D and growth in the China market, the first 2 IM movies were probably more successful. And that without doing an Event film.

^ Here check towards the bottom of the list. Domestically adjusted for inflation IM2 is above BvS. Similarly IM1 would be above MOS:

Batman returns is above it too.
