Yeah even my sister-in-law was like "I liked Ben Affleck as Batman, but wasn't he a bit brutal?" And she doesn't read any reviews or anything. So think they over did it with the Dark Knight Returns adaptation.
Johns has already used the words "hope and optimism" going forward. So you're right about that.

He was a bit brutal, aye. Though I had no complaints about the brawl in the warehouse. There's always going to be some suspension of disbelief with Batman, and I really enjoyed that part. One of the highlights of the movie, imo.
As long as they give Johns some real power, we might just get it. And his track record has always been more good than bad.

I wasn't a fan of the "bat-armour", but I thought the entire Batman V Superman fight was well put together. Nice action, and I thought it was even better than the end fight.
Doomsday was a shambles.

Really? I thought it was a let down, TBH. It had some nice moments, but the WW fight was my fav.

Japan isn't a huge market. I could see it hitting around 10 million for Japan. I'm not saying Suicide Squad will break huge box office records, but it won't be surprising to me if this breaks out like GOTG. Many elements are there to be a hit. After opening weekend, it all depends on WOM and reviews. If the reviews are good, this has a good chance at hitting 700 M plus.

Unanimously, I got 26 people who are in my club that think Suicide Squad will easily do 600 and only 2 people that are out.

Take out Japan and China from BvS numbers and Deadpool beats BvS worldwide box offce which is what I'm talking about.

Ben Affleck's performance is the only bright spot in this movie, and that impressive to me considering I didn't enjoy the characterization of batman.
The entire fuk up of BvS is on Snyder's shoulders. Hearing interviews, it's clear Snyder heavily altered the script he talks about adding scenes and changing the plot etc... so I have a gut feeling the original script would've produced a better movie but we'll never know. How this guy keeps getting work when his only good film (Watchmen) is plagiarized baffles me
