Honestly, WB doesn't seem to give a shit about the comic books. They're comfortable alienating the core comic fan base to draw in a larger audience. A good company would find a way to both satisfy comic book fans of the source material and draw in a new audience. Marvel gets it. Fox and Sony are starting to get it
Yeah, we've kind of come full circle and are right back to where we started pre-Batman Begins. I've excited for Avengers: Age Of Ultron because I think Whedon has a unique voice and is a great writer, but other than that, I feel the comic book movie has passed its prime. Nothing will ever be better than the Nolan Batman movies or Whedon's Avengers(Or Iron Man for that matter). Sandman maybe, and maybe if they go deep inside the well and do something really out there like Ennis's The Boys or Brian K Vaughan's Y: The Last Man just to name two, but other than that? I don't feel one iota of excitement for Dawn Of Justice except to see just how much of a trainwreck it's going to be.
Superhero movies will end up being like classical plays. Everyone will know the star and there will bevvariations, as they are movies, not plays. You will go to see the modern reselling of the classic myth. Sherlock Holmes gets rolled out every few years and everyone watches to see the classic stories, new versions and the new interpretation, but it's still Holmes. There was one in the movies and one on tv last time out
Hero movies will be the same and some will hit it out of the park whole others are meh.
If afflecksvrange if 45 to 47 but looks like he just turned 40 and can physically pull it off, then he'll do it. If he physically doesn't transform into the athlete he needs to be to play the part he's screwed. My take is that he looks nothing like his age and if he can act and work out hell look like a grizzled bad ass batman mid to late 40s
If he can, then let hi, I personally think a batman
N that looks less than mid 30s feels unrealistic. Not enough time to be the polymath batman is and not enough presence

I disagree there in regards to the Nolan Batman movies , They were good but maybe not great (Especially if know your Batman lore & read some of the comics.)

As far as Nolan films go, I think they're great movies. Well made in general, with excellent writing and acting.
Are they great Batman adaptations, though? No, not imo.
we have to agree to disagree 🙂

I think the Keaton movies are a lot closer to the lore than the Nolan ones, even taking in to account the liberties they took with Penguin in the second one.
If that link is accurate, then most of that sounds pretty encouraging, imo.

I thoroughly enjoy the original films just believe that Nolan and co. brought out the best and made batman better than before
I agree some of what Joblo said is encouraging but still wanted to see Diana's classic look though

Fair enough, I just disagree.
I actually like Diana in a skirt, especially how Jim Lee drew her, but I'll wait to see the costume before knowing whether I like it or not.
