No, I think they have a right to know when or even if they should participate immediately after volunteering. You owe it to everyone who has agreed to take time out their day to deal with our little playfight. Just saying you'll deal with it later is a slap in the face, because you're ignoring them. Putting this off is just like saying that it isn't important, that you aren't taking this seriously enough to make even the smallest effort in making sure it's done right.
It's like you just don't care. Sure, in the grand scheme of things this is a frivolous little game I'm playing my spare time. You can waste my time all you want, I don't really care about that. But I kind of have this hang up about disrespecting people who give out their help for free. That's exactly what you're doing.
