Astromechs can defeat super battle droids in single combat. If given prep, R2-D2 could beat the Sith Emperor himself.

it gets even worse, legend going as far as saying vitiate and sidious are stronger than any jedi (even luke)
As he continues to argue now.
BTW, the lead animator for RotS had this to say about Yoda vs. Sidious:
"When Yoda crosses sabers with the movie's arch-villain, he doesn't launch into a pinwheeling display of acrobatics, as he did against Count Dooku in Episode II. Instead, Yoda faces the dark side's fury, channeled by the most powerful Sith Lord in history. "Rob Coleman wanted Yoda to feel the power of his enemy."

I had too. I couldn't help myself but necro this thread. But do not fear. I do actually have something to say on the matter which I hope adds something:People in general from what i've read seem to think that.
Most powerfull sith = best sith. I see it time and again people posting feats of power and the likes but trully. Is being the "best" trully about just raw power?
In my opinion if you want to compare these two you need too take alot of things into consideration. Most important of these i'd say is the time they lived in. The amounts of knowledge they had available( can we 100% sure say palp didnt use some of vits recorded knowledge to get some of the feats he was capable off done?). Circumstances. Vit crept to the seat of emperor in a time where thousands of sith were fighting to be top dog. (im not saying palp couldnt or that thi makes vit better. But its impressive non the less).
I personally think there is no real way to compare these two as they lived in entirely different times and went about reaching their goals in entirely different ways.
People have also aske for some of the feats of Vir and as most pal supporters say. The other side keeps falling back on the age thing( which is impressive no matter how you look at it.)
But didn't Vit also consume a whole planet? Destroyed some of the most powerfull jed in his time without much effort ( revan, exile, scourge?) drive people insane by giving them a glimps in his mind (the second son yes?)
I'd say these show a great amount of power and show Vitto be an impressive sith regardless. Especially considering the time he was living in he was a pioneer in his own right and way.
Sorry again for the necro people. But i do hope my psot can help spawn some interesting and most of all: RESPECTFULL. Debate.
I like this guy.
LOL Neph.
Wait...is this some guy from the giant thread I posted? Gah, I'll respond to it anyway. For a moment, I thought you made "Murmadamus" up.

In the context of various quotes, yes, it is, given that it refers to combative situations.

Palpatine had access to more knowledge and accumulated intelligence than Vitiate, although basic time constraints may lend credence to Vitiate's having retained greater holistic quantity of information. Sidious is canonically still more powerful though.

If Palpatine could also have done it, I don't see how this is an argument in Vitiate's favor. Nobody denies that Vitiate is exceptionally powerful. He just isn't as powerful as Sidious.

That's a bit of a cop-out, and makes 99% of these threads pointless. We can still debate using the evidence (or the canon statements in Palpatine's favor).

Force storms still surpass anything Vitiate's ever done.

Yeah, its some guy, not me.
Not really.
Like he said, its still an impressive achievement to be the top dawg for 1300 years with millions of Sith fighting for the position.
He's not talking about theses threads, he's just bemoaning the constant comparisons and arguments about the two. I'm rather sick of it myself.
Its my understanding that Force Storms had very little to do with actual power.
