Link has explored every hostile environment imaginable and powered through it, and Ganon has exhibited no fear EVER. As Scream previously pointed out, THIS Link (just one, because Ash can't take all of Link 😛) soloed an entire army, so that's old news. As for fighting experience, this was the first Link in the timeline, so he was new to this as well. Ash is ASBOST?! Good for him. That puts him on the same level as LINK'S PRIMARY WEAPON. 😆

If he's on the same level as Link's sword, then it means he is all the more capable of being the end of Link's existence.

No. It means Link wields what is within Ash's tier. The difference? Ash can't wield this weapon what is capable of godly feats such as lifting and island skyward and permanently residing it there. Ash wishes he could live in the clouds. 😛

Ash easily weilds the sword. But like I said, he doesn't need magic or great power to rid evil from the world.
You don't understand. The sword was made specifically for Link and NO ONE ELSE. It's kinda like Mjolnir in a way, except no one else has ever wielded it. Ash is no exception, and he's dealing with a considerably weaker evil that can be removed with conventional weaponry. Good for him since it's all he's qualified to use.

Ash would just pull a "King Arthur" and pick it up. If he wasn't capable of defeating hordes of evil, then he couldn't lift it. But he will. 😄
Ash would just groovy dodge and let Link and Ganon wear eachother down in the ensuing fight thats bound to happen. Then he curbstomps the dying combatants head off like a space marine does to orks.

Maybe if he can get in close enough so Link can't charge for an uber swing and can only use a light attack, Williams can probably grab it with his metal hand in time, stun the elf with a kick to the nads and use his free hand to whip out a double barrel and shoot him in the knee.
