Great episode.

Just a shame this airs at the same time as GoT...

question-

Spoiler:
The Saint of Killers was the guy in 1881?

Yes, he was just a normal guy then though.

Good episode, the next one looks like its going to get crazy.

DVR...

The show is a little slow, story wise, but the characters and violence are spot on.

Pretty much.

I wish it would have followed the comics more, but it's still enjoyable.

And I like who they cast as Cassidy and Jesse.

Nice pilot. Wasn't expecting this show to be that good and that disturbing.

Never read the comics.

Jesse told a guy to phuck himself, so the guy ripped his dick off and shoved it up his ass.

The "open your heart" was an ode to that.

Really? S***

Solid episode. They're starting to delve more into the

Heaven/Hell
aspect of the story. 👆

...Still can't stand Tulip's portrayal in this show, though. 👇

Was that Starr?

He was bald and wore a white suit.

Based on that alone, I'd definitely say it was Herr Starr.

The angels are cool

"I like Justin Bieber! Shite!"

So is this show just gonna be nothing like the comics plot wise?

It would certainly seem that way.

Still enjoying it, though.

I feel cheated out of an experience, but I'll have a good cry and get over it.

Same characters, same names, same overall concept but completely re-written, it seems.

My opinion is that Preacher slow. Like, painfully slow. It's not a terrible series, so far, but it drags and never seems to pick up speed.

I know that Garth Ennis' "a million miles per hour" plot and pacing style wouldn't work for a television show, but can we pick it up just a little bit?

I quite like the pace. It shows confidence. Too many shows try to cram too much in the first few episodes without giving the characters chance to settle in, form relationships, create some depth. Fortunately, though I am a fan of Ennis, I never got around to reading Preacher and once I found out about the TV series I decided to watch the series first. So, for me there are surprises and twists and interesting characters that make me look forward to each new episode.

I'm enjoying this show so far, but I wonder how much it'll change once they all go on the run together, (As they do in the comics) they may not decide to go that route, (The producers) but taking it out of the setting that they're already working hard to establish seems a bit foolish. Loving the Tarantino-esque style of the show though.

There's absolutely no reason to read the comics aside from you just wanting to enjoy them.

The story is completely different.

Last nights episode was good.

It's about time the pace started to pick up.
