KM did say he flies at light speed. So, yes, he is one of the fastest here. Everyone always sleeps on Hawkman.

^ Apparently, just being in the same page or panel-space as Superman makes Despero, Hourman and Hawkman all FTL superspeedsters.

Guys, first of all ODG isn’t taking a stance in this debate. As in he doesn’t say Xmen win or anything.
He just states the obvious, which is that by the scans provided, no superspeed is explicitly shown from Despero.
It’s on thing to fight characters with super speed and another to fight with superspeed yourself.
I understand that some would like to deduct that since he’s able to hang he should have his own share of superspeed, but that’s as valid as everyone who’s ever fought Surfer being a ftl speedster or Cap tagging Quicksilver being supersonic.
I can accept he has his fair share of super reflexes or something but can he really punch a million punches/sec or anything?
No proof for that. He still wins this anyway though
