I think it is obvious that it is hyperbole. Sakura is supposed to be the normal "smart one" n'stuff and she thinks it is stupid that someone can cut a particle beam. It's like ****ing air that has a charge. You can't cut it: only redirect it.
It is almost like saying you can cut the air. Stupid. That's why Sakura is thinking what she's thinking.

And as for hyperbole:
^ According to the source, you need to have both Mangekyo Sharingan in order to summon Susano'o. Itachi had only one eye opened as Kirin was about to reach him.
So if Itachi's a lightning timer on his death bed, then there's nothing to suggest that Kakashi could not replicate the same feat.

Itachi had plenty of time to react to kirin so iwouldnt really call him a lightning dodger as he already knew what was coming
Originally posted by BloodRainAre you going by the art? Because Itachi was still able to see and nothing was said about him having gone blind. For instance, he was able to see when Orochimaru appeared out of the huge snake's body ("you finally show yourself"😉. He also 'lent' his eyes to Sasuke upon his death (see when Obito was revealing Itachi's past to Sasuke). So how could he do that if he had gone blind at the end and was unable to use his own Sharingan? Also, how does one control Mangekyo Sharingan with their eyes closed? Like Amaterasu and Tsukuyomi both require at least one eye to be open, so why would Susano'o, the third ability granted by the Uchiha eyes, be any different? Another thing to note is that Susano'o's build-up is fairly quick (Itachi set up the incomplete version instantly after it was destroyed by Kirin) and we didn't it being in the process of creation while Kirin was directed towards him. I'd post the scans, but not on a computer right now so
Doesn't say eyes open, just that you need the eyes. Itachi still has both of his.Itachi was blind and still using Susanoo, so its not the case.

Madara used Susanoo without even having eyes.

Even with Itachi pulling up Susanoo to block Kirin he still wasn't fast enough to actually get out the way so he still isn't fast enough to dodge lightning 😛
@Ty: Not just the art. He was already well in the process of losing his sight. Not long earlier we saw Sasuke through Itachi's point of view and it was heavily degraded, and we know using the M.S wrecks the eyes the more you use it or the more potent the usage. Like how Sasuke's eyes were starting to go after his extensive usages, so its not unlikely at all that the already near blind Itachi who was already using M.S lost his sight after the final use of Susanoo. There was even him stating he needs Sasuke's eyes to.. something to do with getting back the light.
And Oro? People are known for sensing chakra, especially someonehe's been around for so long. Plus he knows about the curse mark.
