That's bs. Why couldn't she put him down by summoning massive demons far beyond his level? Or kicking a skyscraper into his face?
Or ripping his head off with her thighs?
And what is this? "Even a demon like Madama Butterfly is nothing new to this demon hunter." So it's because he has a history fighting demons, Bayonetta's should be no different. Guts vs Nightmare logic all over again. FML.
If by calculated speed feats he truly is faster by a sufficient margin, then I'm ok with the win.
I figured going in that Bayo at least matched him in that, and beat him in pure power and crazyiness, so she was definitely my pick to win.
And certainly, she can put him down if she can continually land blows. Dante is not invincible, and her power is a cut above what he is used to normally.
Also, wtf was up with the outside interference? That's always been disallowed, unless they just did that for fun and it wasn't part of the actual analysis.

Yeah. Never mind them admitting that Bayonetta herself physically outclasses Dante. Let's pretend he can strong arm that thing that punched out "God's" essence with enough force to hypothetically destroy Jupiter.
There's so much more I could say about it, honestly, but I don't really have time to here. Either way, I'm convinced by now that they can f**k up anything (and I'm not entirely sure they didn't mean to, in this case).
