You do realise that the financial success of IM3 is not just down to the movie itself, but the films that preceded it right? IM1 and Avengers both lead to the mega success of IM3.

But in terms of enjoyment and quality and impact on cinema and every other possibel way IM1>>>>>IM3.

And Lol even in terms of cash, it hardly shitted over TDKR which didn't even benefit from 3d ticket sales.

iman 3 beat Batman 3. Batman movies didn't make more money as the films progressed iirc. According to you that means marvel is good whereas dc isn't at gaining momentum with their franchises.

TDK tops Batman Begins and the first Iron Man movie(they came out in the same year to boot). So that point is just outright false. Also I'm pretty sure TDKR did better domestically as well. However I will say that DC should make sure learn from their mistakes and make sure something like Green Lantern doesn't happen again. If DC is on there A-game then so will Marvel and we won't have to experience another Iron Man 3 movie.

So why you're hating on DC because....😐

Batman 3 was a step down financially to Batman 3. The reason two made so much money was due to the untimely death of Heath Ledger.

Dc focusing on two heroes is my criticism as well as the point of the article.

Basically he learns to fly, keeps his mouth shut and gets to fly and see the central battery and lean about Oa and the planet and the history of the corps. Very cool scene.

People who aren't emotionally invested in scenarios in which DC "fails" have rated TDK and TDKR a lot better than every Marvel movie in the MCU according to users of IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes. Except the Avengers which has a whopping one point advantage and that's only on RT. IMDB still has it kicking every movie Marvel has made.

DC isn't only focusing on two heroes. They're focusing on two to start with, as the universe needs to start somewhere.

Marvel couldn't use Spider-Man or the X-Men, so the Avengers was the most likely port of call. So we got Iron Man and Hulk first.

DC is giving us Superman and Batman first, which they really should. They're going to be the main characters in any shared universe, just like Tony is.

The Dark Knight Trilogy made more with each one.

LOL Yeah that's why the Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus was such a massive hit. And as if IM3 would have made so much if not for the Avengers boost. You accuse others of making excuses but really your the biggest excuse maker here.

They've done others. They've just not found "financial" success with others YET.

But if you compare WB's success to the success of Sony and Fox with the franchises they have, then WB looks pretty good.

Just because Marvel studios has had the most success is no reason to hate on others.

Exactly. If Marvel had the rights to Spiderman and X-Men then they would have given us shit loads of those 2 franchises first. Guaranteed.

As a marvel fan I agree with everything Darth Power said, except for that part about spidey at the end. Marvel/Disney had a grand plan for the shared universe and if they had spidey he would have been implemented, prob in phase one before cap and Thor.

Marvel characters are just ripoffs from DC. The only reason DC isnt doing as financially well as marvel is because they don't release 500 movies a year.

Marvel studios are putting out around 2 movies a year. It's other studios like Fox and Sony which have the rights to some Marvel characters which are putting out the rest.

Let's not kid ourselves though, WB/DC have made some epic movies, but they clearly don't have their formula together yet to give us 2 great movies a year. And Marvel studios has done the best job by far in making superhero movies. There's no questioning that. What is questionable is if the very best movies from either studio to date are WB/DC's Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, or Marvel's Iron Man1 and The Avengers.

The only other film that might be be a contender in terms of quality in the last decade is Fox's X-Men: First Class Imho. And if we're looking at best of all time then of course Donner's Superman and Superman 2 would also be great contenders for the best comic book movies ever made.

That is your opinion not mine. Dc is trying to copy marvel and bring about a shared universe. They are way behind the 8 ball here. Not my fault dc is copying marvel.
