No. Of course not.
I dunno, this is some pretty compelling evidence...
Look who was present during the discussion. Abrams himself. Even if Luke hasn't gone to the dark side, it has definitely been considered. That much is certain.
Not compelling at all TBH. They are talking about Luke turning dark in RotJ not afterwards. But instead of him falling, they decided to have Luke reject the dark side. If Luke falls sometime afterwards not only would it completely undermine the whole film but it contradicts all of his character development. Worse it would happen off screen. Frankly it would be terrible writing.

It would surprise me and undermine his whole resistance of the dark side to the emperor. He was better than Vader and didn't fall into temptation so why have him do so later.
I was reading the book The Making of Star Wars and came across a few things of interest from Lucas's early drafts. In one of the drafts, when Ben Kenobi decides to join Luke in his quest, Vader and a few other Sith feel him joining the fight. Vader then sates, "Something old has been awakened. The force has suddenly grown stronger. We must travel future paths with caution."
Another thing that caught my interest was the origin of the "Knights of the Sith". The origin of the KotS has a Jedi fall to the dark side (or Bogan as it is called in the script). He then teaches the ways of the dark side to a group of pirates who afterwards declare themselves as the Knights of the Sith. Looking at the shot from the new trailer, the KoR may very well have a very similar origin. They seem fairly ramshackle and appear to not have full mastery of the force. Heck, they don't even use lightsabers.

Would have been neat if Lucas had worked that first part into EPIV
So it does seem more and more that Abrams isn't reinventing anything, just re-envisioning. Still alright; still excited.
Here is a preview I'll definitely enjoy. Civil War. Marvel and Disney for the w.
