The novel takes place a few decades after the game while Jaden takes on a different adventure. Jaden is canonically a male human because of course he is. I believe Galen knows a lot about it.

I'm not assuming anything, canonical statements in sourcebooks and from various authorities state this as fact.

The lapse is explained. You just don't like the explanation.

It's explained... how?

Sidious blitzed them. :T

These are not adjectives I'd apply to what I watched in the movie, but it and others are down on the paper.

Keep in mind, the script for ROTS does not even match the final product. LFL canon was that what we see on-film is the highest level of canon; the finished product.

I get that you're refuting; I'm asking you for specifics. You say, as if it is so obvious and accessible, that it has been explained satisfactorily. So I'm asking you: what's the explanation? That he killed them is not contested.

The million-dollar question is : why did they not react to his obvious and telegraphed attack?

Because he was too fast.

Okay, assuming that's what it said explicitly, now show me where supplemental material overrides G-canon (film) versions of events please.

Sidious is visibly slower than it takes me to walk to my office phone.

Wow, really, SM?

By your logic, we wouldn't be able to use Sidious fight with Maul and Savage to showcase his saber abilities, because higher canon showed us an old man who swung his sabers around very slowly, therefore Sidious shouldn't have stood a chance against Maul, who is young, fit and very acrobatic.

I'm almost certain that Leland chee has pointed out that the movies are slowed down so that the viewers can percieve the events happening.

Not that it matters. Even in the movies, Jedi react to and deflect blaster bolts, showcasing an example of superhuman speed.

You're mistaken; I've indicated that the series' showings would be better interpretations of Sidious' personal skill because the opponents are stronger and are better analyzed. In comparison, this feat is lauded is 'great', when he faced no real opposition.

It would be like Bruce Lee jogging across a room, stopping, rearing his leg back, and kicking you square in the balls while you do nothing, and then saying "Look, I defeated him with my speed and amazing kung fu skill"

But your ignoring the B-team's other feats and accolades, stating that their fight with Sidious is the higher form of canon, thus suggesting that they are slow idiots with baby reflexes all due to the way they looked in that particular fight. Why not do the same with Sidious?

No, again, you're mistaken. I'm saying that material which embellishes or changes the facts of the G-canon event of the fight are suspect. For example, scripts do not always represent the final product. I don't recall the ROTS script off-hand, but I know it ends with Kit Fisto's head on a desk. LFL canon, when interpreting an event, says the film version is superior to say, C-canon versions or otherwise. Even supplements are often in-universe characters relating events they weren't privvy to or something.

Their 'feats and accolades' are all well and good. I'm not saying they are nobodies. I'm not comparing them with the IKs. I'm saying the fight, itself, is a poor showing of technical skill, speed, or whatever.

The fight itself was suppose to depict Sidious as being far faster than those jedi, which is why the first two were like statues. The scene was horrible, but that's what happens when Lucas wants an old man to do his own stunts.

If we judge the fight how it was shown, then those jedi are really idiots or they just have baby reflexes and shouldn't be allowed to wield a saber. They shouldn't even be termed jedi knights let alone jedi masters.

Or they were super scared of his howl. Whichever.

Which was based on the pre-release script.

So what's Sidious' excuse for moving so slow?

Maybe he forgot to use the force to enhance his physicality?

Why was Mace kind of running from his super slow movements at the beginning of their fight? Was he scared that Palpatine would howl again?

I don't know. What does the evidence tell you?

Maybe he forgot to use the force to enhance his physicality?

Or we simply never see Jedi fighting faster than the eye can see. They always move either at normal human speeds or slightly above that but still visible. If you look at the Youtube video of the fight and count the seconds from his saber igniting to his actual stabbing motion, you might question the idea that he is 'that fast'.

Yes of course. Force Howl is an epic level Dark Side power.

I'd sure hate to see Mace and B-team go up against my little nephew. He's a lot faster than Palpatine.

Film it please. Disney might buy the rights and it would give us new content.
