The Flash

Last week’s Flash was good, because well, Ralph and Sue are great together.
Rag doll seems to be getting Mary Sue’d.
Joe West comes across as one tough Cop.
The main plot is...there.

This week that main plot is supposed to have some payoff, so we’ll see.

Lol, last week, when Joe

Spoiler:
jumped out of the car, the speedo said like 120mph or something.
Rubber cop for the win.

I noticed that and laughed my ASS off! 😆

Well, to be fair to Joe, if you lived in a world where virtually

Spoiler:
every car crash somehow results in an explosion
you'd probably also take your chances. 😄

Reminded me of this:

HA!!!

Okay I’ll give you that!

This week's ep. was...okay. I was just glad theyve started getting to the point.
Cecile

Spoiler:
walking in on full conspiracy theory mode Barry was pretty funny.

Sisco and Ralph
Spoiler:
walking in on Caitlin sick left me cold, no pun intended. Another medical emergency that must be solved isnt interesting to me.

I'd rather they just have found her having a sordid affair w. a popsicle or something.
The ending was soooo sappy, and must have really pissed off the Iris haters! 😆

this show needs to be written better

^^^you gotta be loving seeing not one, but two versions of Iris though, right? 😄

I liked that this ep. tackled the puzzling Post Crisis

Spoiler:
Pied Piper problem.
Good overall ep. and ended on a hopeful/ominous note like a good story should.

I also caught a cool Easter egg when Godspeed tossed Flash into a Van.

Barney Sands was a kid who lived next door to Barry Allen, Pre Crisis. He was a huge Flash fan (of course), and an artist. An alien once brought one of his drawings to life to fight Barry, and he went on to draw the Justice League comic.

Flash seemed like one long fight scene this week. I dug it!

Just caught up with this. It's all right, though I kept expecting someone to ask "Why can't we take Godspeed's speed and give it to Barry?". But nobody did.

I do hope the twist is that Eva has actually been the mirror copy this whole time, and the husband was actually telling the truth.

And yes, I'm still annoyed at the idea of Kimiyo getting relegated to the role of assassin, but here's hoping.

ralph has been fired

Suck as that may, could they not just recast Elongated Man? Whose become a loving staple of the series at this point. The show will take a major blow/loss without him.

Was thinking about getting caught up on the latest eps,but now I'm not gonna bother.

Cancel culture bullshit needs to end.

The actor was a big part of him becoming beloved. This isn't some shitty batwoman character you just recast. All his tweets came from before he was even on the show and none I saw were that bad.

DC sure had no problems hiring James Gunn.

Where did you leave off on? The latest season was pretty good with the episodes leading up to Crisis, but after that, it was just kinda there. Not really missing much with the 2nd half.

Just saying I would take a recast if nothing else, as opposed to the character just being written out completely which you know they'll do, while introducing a new character or something next season, hoping people will just forget Ralph. I'll probably be done too at that point, I don't know.

I would have to see exactly what it was he said on social media that was deemed so controversial to fire him over for me to be able to fairly judge, but I'm generally not keen on the cancel culture stuff either, especially if it was something he said before he got brought on the show. You're supposed to do a full background check on someone before you hire them, not after.

Yeah, but James Gunn is a bigger name.

While I reserve the right to revise my opinion on a case by case basis, my opinion in general is, I’m not a big fan of ppl getting fired over old shit they said, by ppl who have likely said the same exact shit at some point.

Aaaaantway, yeah, recasting the character would be best, continuity wise.
No need to Batwoman (meaning needlessly complicate) the situation.

I left off about 1-2 episodes after the crisis ended. I think mirror Iris or whatever was just showing up. I was slowly starting to catch up.

Eh, the recast would have to be SUPERB. One of those recasts where you're not constantly reminded there has been a recast.

So this shows what he said:

https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/hartley-sawyer-fired-flash-misogynist-tweets-surface-1297483

"Among the tweets users surfaced in the past two weeks are one from 2012 in which Sawyer wrote "The only thing keeping me from doing mildly racist tweets is the knowledge that Al Sharpton would never stop complaining about me." In 2014, he wrote, "Enjoyed a secret boob viewing at an audition today." Several tweets refer to assaulting women, and one reads, "Date rape myself so I don't have to masturbate."

It seems like he just was doing...exactly what James Gunn did. A lot of dark "edgy" humor. I mean one of them is "the greatest lie the devil ever told is convincing me he didn't have genital warts before he sexed me".

Lol. Others I saw "when I find my daughter i'm gonna beat her for having all these man clothes". I don't know the context and I don't think he even has a daughter, but it comes off like it was said in jest.

When I first read he was fired for racist tweets I thought "oh shit, he made some asinine george floyd comment didn't he?" but this is not only tame for twitter trolling...it's from years ago.

I went in expecting waaay worse.

I mean okay he has the sense of humor of a 16 yr. old, but meh

if people can be okay with james gunn making jokes about molesting kids then they should be able to let this slide
