I dont think youve read most of them.
He got really weird joking about assaulting women.
From 2:15 to 5:30.
Not much racist stuff but a lot of violent sexist stuff. Plus one pedo one to boot.
I think it was just the sheer number of these weird tweets that couldnt be ignored.
Also lets face it, if James Gunn was just some random actor playing a side kick on a tv show, then he wouldnt have been rehired.
James Gunn came out of this with massive jobs for Two different studios.

In terms of comparing to Gunn the only difference I can think was that Gunns was further in the past. Also this guys tweets suggested he might actually beat a woman. It went from joking to kinda worrying.
But yeah lets face it, it all worked out for Gunn because of who he is.

I agree he made a lot of jokes about beating women, but if that worries you then why wouldn't the many jokes Gunn made about little kids?
Feels like they both had a creepy theme. One with the women jokes and one with the pedo jokes.

This is why I think people should avoid social media.
Twitter and now tik tok really brings out the worst in people. Twitter has made people think that every thought that passes through their brain has to be shared.
But for christs sake if someone insists on using it and they become famous they should probably scour their social media feed and delete anything that could screw them. Or in fact just delete the entire account and make a completely new one.

Yeah true.
If everyone didnt already know and love Gunn and if he wasnt a proven gold mine for the movie industry his career probably would have ended.
But then yeah there is the hypocrisy as well. Like how could Disney justify keeping RDJ whose committed actual offences, yet get rid of Gunn over creepy tweets.
Again because RDJ is a proven goldmine for them. And everyone loves him now.
I wonder how they're gonna get rid of him. Kill him off or have the character decide to leave? Or will they even shoot any scenes at all? It could be just someone goes "Oh Ralph is in Edge City" and is never mentioned again.
Character deserves better though. Yet I doubt the writers are interested in giving the character a proper send off.

I kinda would be too if I found out that was someone I had closely worked with for a few years... Which also kinda begs the question of why this wasnt found out sooner.

See if I worked closely with someone for years and they got fired for jokes made years earlier I'd be more pissed at who fired him. I might go "I'm disappointed in you for being dumb enough to tweet these edgelord jokes" but I would not want them to be fired.
The Guardians of the Galaxy cast came together to support James Gunn after all his creepy pedo jokes had consequences for him. Would have been nice to see some solidarity here, it could have perhaps helped Hartley get his job back.

Different situations. Batwoman is in its infancy and to be blunt: from the reviews I have read what people like about the show is not specifically the batwoman character. So replacing her isn't as big a deal. Ralph has been around for years and is a fan favorite.
Just kill him off or have him retire or take the meta cure or something.
But they better not be little b*tches about it and give him a shitty ending.
