Agreed with this. I remember red flashes too. It seemed pretty clear that it was Barry and Reverse-Flash fighting.

loved tonight's episode...

Barry being fast enough to take a picture and pose for it at the same time was pretty cool.

Well I think the biggest reason they didn't go with a high tech armored suit is because they probably thought fans wouldn't like that.

I doubt fans would complain to changes like that just to make sense out of it in Live Action.

There's much more to complain about with that level of CIS/PIS. I mean let's face it, cops would fire away at those 2 in droves. Heck how often do they fire away at unarmed threats!

Idk I feel like people would have been yelling "where is colds parka" lol I don't disagree that the episode was really full of CIS/PIS but so are the comics. However once all the Rouges join together it will be more believable.

i loled a little as i watched that. but it was a very fun scene

I am starting to think they are gonna go with the Flash Rebirth line of logic and revel Barry is the generator for the SpeedForce. The more he runs the more the SpeedForce increases which in turn increases how fast Barry can run.

lol back in Rebirth it was explained that when Barry got struck by lightning he wasn't connected to the SpeedForce...the SpeedForce was actually created. The thing is though the SpeedForce transcends time. This way all the speedsters before Barry were still connected to the SpeedForce.......annnnnd Barry actually generates the SpeedForce the more he uses his powers.

Im just guessing they will go that route with the show.

EDIT: I think they will explain it that the SpeedForce doesn't transcend time but since Barry actually generates it he won't lose his powers when he goes back int time to fight the Reverse Flash. After he saved himself he ran back to the present and Wells was trapped in that time because without Barry to generate the SpeedForce he couldn't get enough speed to return to his time. That is why his powers aren't working right...because he hasn't been able to draw on it for so long.

^ It would also explain why Wells so desperately wants to keep Barry alive. Barry's the Ultimate source of his own powers.

He wants him alive so he can save the world during the Crisis. Which is why he is always looking at the paper.

I dunno. He doesn't seem like an humanitarian to me. He's completely willing to murder people if it serves his agenda.

Besides in the newspaper Flash did save the world, but then disappeared. So if that was his only goal, then the future already shows that's what happens, so he's got nothing to change.

The future actually changes in one of the episodes and Wells became all worried.

Yeah when Flash loses his powers so the future shows there's no Flash in the future.

That would worry him in mine or your theory. Because he clearly wants Flash alive and using his Powers for a reason.

... but the future that Wells/Zolomon came from has been irrevocably changed im sure due to the time stream

Yes but after Flash gets his powers back the headline goes back to what it was previously and he seems relieved. I think it lines up perfectly with my Theory.

I assume they're following the comics in terms of why Wells wants Barry to succeed/live, but that's me.

Yeah; that's one of the best speed feats I've seen from him yet.
