Did we have confirmation before this episode that the other Flash was Barry?

No. That was a new reveal. We all guessed prior.

So my thoughts are:

Wells talked to Joe about coming to the city after a car accident. I assume the original Wells probably died in the accident. So the blood sample they're testing it against wouldn't be his but the original.

Absolutely agree! I do however still think Wells is from the future so his

finally watched tuesday's ep, very well written and well made.. the effects for firestorm continue to be good...

Firestorm was cool, They confirmed everything we knew about Barry being the one that went back in time, and the scenes from next week appear to show Wells moving so fast it looks like he is in two places at once......Exactly like I have been saying since episode 9! Ooh and Grodd...Holy crap that was amazing!

The special effects for this show are pretty good. Makes it very watchable.

Good. I have to catch up on the last few and was hoping it's get better again. Mid-Season Finale was Awesome, but next 2 episodes since it's return have been Meh Imo.

I'm so much more interested in this show than Arrow atm.

Carter and Saul are the things I look forward too the most each week tho.

i am enjoying this show.... March 17th can't come fast enough

I honestly thought that they were just following the comics, and went from there. I think that's how most people figured it out. Or they guessed.

Maybe but it seems like he is just moving so fast that it appears there are two of him. The Flash did it in the comics before and I think that is how they are doing this. If you watch the trailer for the next ep in March you can see two Wells but if you look closely you can see a black blur moving back and forth.

Yea I saw the trailer after reading the comments.

But that's a far stretch from what we saw in the previous episodes. I think there are some scenes where Wheelchair Wells was sitting in his wheelchair in the lab talking to Barry while he was fighting the Reverse Flash.

Also the Reverse Flash beating up Wells. Also Wheelchair Wells didn't have his speed until he took that Quantum device.

And the blur in the trailer you talked about.

If its the exact same Wells, I hope they have a better explanation...

On a side note, anyone notice that Wells referred to Grodd as "an old friend of our's"? Ambiguous, but could mean there is/was/will be (in the future timeline) a villain team up.
