The Flash

So what's the point of having Mr.Terrific around if he's not doing anything terrific.

Also I'm willing to play devil's advocate for the filler episode that was Arrow, atrocious jobbing of Deathstroke, Darhk, and Merlin withstanding, in that it made for a better "For the Man who has everything" type episode than the one Supergirl introdued. If it wasn't blantant filler in a supposed big crossover even I think it would be better received: again jobbing of villains withstanding.

Other than that this crossover kind of sucks but Flash/Arrow vs the World was kind of interesting. It also does nothing to convince me that either Arrow or Supergirl are worth watching.

That Flash/Supergirl race was amazing.

So this crossover sucked. But at least this proves that Flash can make the rest of the CW shows better just by being there.

I liked the crossover and thought it was good. Haven't see the arrow episode, but plan to tomorrow

There were so many Easter eggs. Like Brandon Routh saying "she really looks like my cousin" regarding Supergirl.

Star labs hanger looked like the hall of justice from the super friends

It was.

And the Supergirl/Arrow sparring match was just hillarious. The total disbelief from Ollie at meeting something with stronger plot powers than his was perfect.

So perfect he had to put her in timeout corner first half of the last episode. lol

Last episode on LOT was good though I personally wanted to see a bit more of a widespread conflict

Crossover wasn't too bad. The Arrow episode was somewhat of a let down, but the others were decent enough. I felt like they could have done more with what they had on LoT, but it could have gone much worse as well.

On a side note, I thought Diggle's first helmet looked dumb, but Nate's makes him look like a bobblehead.

Consider the budget when pining for nonstop action sequences with like 12 characters. This was always going to be a more character-focused crossover.

I felt a little letdown when the Supergirl "crossover" episode was just the 30-second tag at the end. Obviously Arrow was a bit of filler too, but it wasn't terrible and suspension of disbelief has to be ratcheted up to 11 on these shows to enjoy them anyway. If anyone's still complaining about how unrealistic something is, I'm not sure why you're still watching any of them. I mean, a few MAers who shoot trick arrows are in space, and you're worried about the number of seats in the alien ship? Lol.

Firestorm jobbing so hard to Kara felt disappointing. She can be the most powerful without showing everyone up constantly. Same with her and Barry re: speed. Feels like an odd decision to marginalize the rest of them like that. Usually shows like these are notorious for bringing everyone closer to the mean to avoid that kind of disparity.

In all, I'm happy I watched, but it affirms that I'm glad I dropped Arrow and LoT and have only been keeping up with Flash. It made me a tiny bit curious about jumping back into LoT, but not overly so.

The crossover as a whole stunk.. individually the supergirl ep was atrocious, while the flash ep got everything going... the arrow ep was pretty good and reminded me of the TNG ep where Picard lived a lifetime in 25 minutes.. the LOT ep felt more like an Arrow episode more than anything ,yet still satisfying..

Nah, the Arrow episode was still the worst out of them.

I give the crossover a 6/10. Would've been a good 8 or so if not for the constant jobbing of some and Arrow's episode messing up the pacing and being mostly a waste of time. It didn't deserve having Deathstroke either.

Kara showed up Barry in speed? Barry beat her in speed, though. He was controlling the pace the entire time.

Aside from the nitpicking (Come on, the gun was so obvious they probably did that on purpose) I actually enjoyed the Arrow ep overall on it's own merits. It's not really that strong in the overall scheme of a big event, but it was great as a "For the Man Who Has Everything" story. Diggle as Arrow being a personal favorite, as it reveals a lot about the character.

Supergirl and Arrow were completely skippable trash.

This crossover forced me back into LoT... it's still terrible. None of the characters are accurate. How the fck does Vixen channel an elephant and her punches and kicks still have the impact of a normal person?

terrible stuff.

The Vixen thing was probably due to budget, but thought she was passable otherwise. Definitely see where you're coming from tho.

I hope Caitlyn gets to help the others with her powers more often. I know who Killer Frost is and that she's usually a villain, but just having powers shouldn't have to automatically make this show's version of her become evil.

The crossover was ok. I thought it was stupid though that Oliver pulled Kara aside and told her to hang out on the sidelines for awhile because she's too super. They are fighting an alien invasion that is threatening the world and Oliver wants their biggest weapon to sit one out. Dumb.

Apparently there is going to be a big fight next season, between Jesse Quick, Flash, Kid Flash vs. Savitar and Grodd.

Holy shit, lol

Yeah yeah, I wasn't ragging on the Arrow episode, and actually defended the crossover more than many in this thread. But, in the context of the crossover, it was kinda filler. They could explore that character stuff any time, interesting as some of it was.

She didn't beat him, per se, but Barry himself says she's as fast as he is. And they all pay lip service to her being more powerful than the rest combined. I'm not a stickler for adhering to comic book power levels - different mediums and all - but it just seems an odd writing decision to so vocally trash everyone but Kara. Given some of Barry's and Firestorm's feats in particular, marginalizing them seems counterintuitive.

To be fair, he said she was as fast as he is earlier in the episode, but, before the race, told her something along the lines of, "Let's finally see who is faster". And, based on the fact that Barry was controlling the pace, and had to actually stop a few times to let her catch up, he is the faster of the two.

That being said, I was also a bit annoyed at how everyone else got bashed to make Kara look awesome. Barry himself summed it up well, during the LoT episode, when Felicity completely ignored him to focus on Kara, when they had to get to the aliens outside of Central City.

Well Flash and Arrow could have dealt with worse than Kara's jobber aura. They could have dealt with her "try hard" friends and MM: though the later is actually a better character than most on the CW which makes this weird.
