Lucas never claimed such. Also while SLJ says Mace did, Ian says Sidious threw the fight.

Mace would have gotten stomped, yeah. He could not even react to Sidious, and only deflected three blows because he had Kit Fisto aiding him and because he only "angled his lightsaber to ground", meaning he randomly put his saber in front of his body. That's not reacting to Sidious, that's being forced back in three blows, not even reacting to your opponent even while being aided by one of the Order's best fighters.

He did react to sidious, so your points bunk

Do you have the ability to read? He angled his lightsaber to guard, meaning he put his lightsaber in front of his body before Sidious even attacked due to Sidious being occupied killing Kolar. That does not mean he reacted to Sidious. He was ready for the attack before Sidious went at him and was occupied dealing with Kolar. And Mace had the help of Kit Fisto which of course enabled him to react a bit more.
