Just a thought - Why couldn't Superman just put him into something that restrains him at super speed and Shaw can't absorb a thing. Superman in MOS is smart - VERY smart, and an intellgient fighter. He'd start out getting physical, get manhadnled with his own power, figure itout once he uses heat vision (next movie super breathe :-))

Then he figures out what's going on and Shaw is done.

No one in the X Verse is a challenge to MoS Superman. The only character that makes Superman work for a tough win is Hulk, and MoS Superman stil wins

Superman walks up to him slowly, pins Shaw's hands behind his back, then crushes his throat, covers his mouth and nose until he suffocates, etc. Magneto killed him with a coin. Clearly he can only absorb higher levels of kinetic energy, not block anything from penetrating his body. All Superman has to do is kill him softly.

This featureless environment mess is silly, but if that's how it is, then Supes still takes Shaw's head.

Reeeaaaally specific way of fighting that is not only way out of character,but gives Clark way more knowledge than he'd have.

Also need to point out that Magneto only forced the coin through his skull while Charles was actively manipulating his brain. Clark doesn't have a partner to shut him down for him to even attempt the slow death, which again he wouldn't know to pull as he won't know that much about Shaw.

That's assuming Kent is too stupid to figure out that his full speed attacks are doing nothing to end the fight. Considering what we saw him manage against Zod and company when he'd never been in real combat before I think it's safe to assume that he can handle the learning curve.

Xavier and Magneto didn't figure it out until the end of the movie where they'd been fighting against him and his forces for quite a while. You expect Clark to figure it out within the span of the match?

And being resourceful in a fight doesn't = figuring out how a persons abilities work and how to bypass them when you've never encountered that problem before.

And again, Magneto only forced the coin through after Charles told him he shut his powers down. Clark can't do that.

I don't possibly see how Shaw could Hurt Superman though. It's essentially a stalemate then.

Absorrbing a few full force Superman punches should do it. In the movie he could release at least as much energy as he absorbed.

I don't see why that would harm Superman to the point of defeat.
