Seems like a set move. Probably spear from Scorpion, fireball from Liu Kang ect. Stuff like that but I'm just guessing

Ah, okay. That'd be preferable I guess, though also wouldn't mind it being randomized, as it'd make his playstyle more chaotic and fun in its own way.

Hm... Joe made some fine points here, though disagree with him on Jason. 👇

Goro has been confirmed as a standalone DLC at a later date. I mean everyone has pretty much figured this but it does show he won't be a simple in game unlock. I know some people thought he would be the special unlock at the end of the game but like I said hes confirmed as DLC.

I'm pretty sure everyone already knew that since every trailer for MKX always ends with "Pre order now and get Goro". I wouldn't mind him being DLC so much if he was still in development even after the game's release but as it turns out, he'll be available first day exclusively for early buyers. He should've been an unlockable.

well it was mostly for anyone who were among the people who thought the Pre-Order was just an early release and that you could still unlock him in game.

Well, aside from the upcoming Hanzo and Kuai rematch, seems the other Shokan (Kintaro, Sheeva, etc.) will be making a bit of a comeback after what Kotal Kahn did to Goro.

Steal a move from the opponent? Huh... Reminds me of Quan Chi's move in MK4 where he could steal a weapon from the opponent, only that sounds better, and which move you steal is randomized I'm guessing?

It also seems like that you can only steal the special for 1 time use.
Then you have to steal it again in order for a 2nd use.

The other 2 versions look dope however.

He has a bone weapon summoner version you can do some really fancy.combos like cryomancer but looks better.

Necromaner can summon giant skeleton arms to grab ,maul or toss the enemy.
His lower arms get replaced with lame skeleton lower arm though.

Now you are just twisting my words to suite you. I never said they were the same, just that all the bad guys in MK have tried, at one point or another, to gain power for themselves. You seemed to be under the impression that guys like Goro and Baraka were just happy to serve others forever. That isn't the case
Goro is happy to serve others for the benefit of his race. Quan Chi is an opportunist through and through. Do not ever compare the traits of Quan Chi with these two. Quan Chi is on a grander scale and acting like Goro and Baraka are master manipulators is silly and incorrect.

You know Quan Chi will betray Shinnok when the opportunity presents itself. Do not get it twisted. You're wrong.

Shut up, nerd.

Some guy on twitter threatening the producer if he didn't put Reiko in the game

Posted that a page ago, mate.

edit: Oh God, someone at NRS quit twitter after someone threatened his family over a character. haermm

At least the dumbass there was banned though. Rain I heard was added to MK9 partly due to fan harassment like that, though I don't think Reiko will be as lucky.

Wasnt Tremor added due to a petition signed by 50000 fans?

Goro and Baraka want power just as much as Quan Chi. The difference is Chi has the means to aquire it, they don't.

If the opportunity presents itself. We've seen that happen already in MK. Quan Chi coming to power was lackluster. They will probably go a different route in this timeline

Quan Chi deceived Shinnok and tricked an elder god. Quan Chi is a mastermind the other two aren't. Baraka for crying out loud.

Quan Chi isn't loyal to Shinnok just as Shang Tsung isn't loyal to ShaoKahn when the opportunity presents itself.

They won't go the same exact route but Quan Chi is still out for himself. It was not lackluster. The intro to deception was the greatest intro to an mK game.

Again, he had the means to do so. They do not.

All the villian are out for themselves. It was lackluster in the way of his reign was ridiculously short lived. Even his partnership with Tsung, with them both running everything, was short. Lacking of the luster. Don't feel bad tho, Shinnok's rule was even worse

Was likely most of the reason for his inclusion I'm guessing. At least, I like to think it wasn't also due to fan harassment/threatening like with the Reiko example. Tremor wouldn't of gotten as far as he did though if he wasn't another ninja, but given the ninjas that didn't make the cut on the roster this time (Smoke, Rain, etc.), I'm definitely more glad to have him now than I would've been if he had been MK9 DLC.

And it's okay Kaz. Just pointing something out...

He used his own means. He isn matter and more cunning than they are. He became the greatest sorcerer throug practice and rose the ranks. He wasn't some elder god. So what ? Onaga showed up. Quan Chi arose again. The villains always get cut down sooner or later. Quan set up the deadly alliance and won. The only bad guy to win at the end of a game besides Shao Kahn.

Shinnok was always overshadowed by Quan Chi.

Nothing you've said contradicts what I've said. And Shang Tsung won as well.

Shinnok was just poorly done in 4.

First 30 minutes of story is on youtube.
