You implied it actually. But if you're backstepping that is fine, I don't want to derail the thread with silly back and forths for something as trivial as this.

Disagree, it wasn't the entire fight. There were moments when Oberyn was just dueling and not trying to show off and gather attention. The backflips and such, obvious showboating.

IIRC, Gregor actually grabs his leg just as Oberyn looks down to gloat at Gregor's prone form. I didn't like that aspect.

From before the fight, to during the fight, to the end of the fight he showboated. That is the entire fight just not every millisecond.

He looked at his woman and lost his focus. He can look at Gregor all he wants because his focus was already off him prior to. That is the only reason he died. Minus a confession and showboating to an entire courtyard of people he stomps.
