For example, Vitiate's most hyped onscreen showing, was his defeat of the jedi strike team. The hype stems from the members of the strike team being called the most powerful of their era. However using Neph's logic, the quote about their power is irrelevant to the feat, considering none of them shown anything to indicate that they used their power to counter Vitiate's assault. Only two of the jedi on the strike team managed to contain Vitiate's lightning with their sabers before finally going down to a second charged attack, while the lightning missed the other two jedi's lightsabers, leaving them completely vulnerable (unprotected) to the lightning. So basically, it took 20 seconds worth of lightning spam + a second charged attack for Vitiate to overwhelm the saber defenses of just two jedi.
TBH, I think comparing you to Carthage would be the bigger insult.

Regardless, for you to make such a statement, you'd have to be able to debunk an argument made in Dooku's favor. As I said, the only reason I put Vitiate above Dooku is because of his in and out of universe hype, his implied power, and his mastery over the dark side. However, none of those quotes about Vitiate's power have any connection to Dooku at all, and he's never beaten a Dooku level combatant to my knowledge. In fact, I don't find any of Vitiate's actual combat showings all that impressive, TBH. My conclusion that Vitiate is above Dooku is just a reasonable one--an opinion, not fact.
No, Carthage is just unreasonable, and relies more on feats than a bunch of implications. To be fair, unless he's proven wrong, he doesn't have to be reasonable.
