I agree it did try to copy the GotG formula. Though I don't have a problem with it because they kept it entertaining.

Ragnarok sucked because of the theme to choose to follow instead.

Ragnarok was to be the end of the Norse Gods, it was suppose to be dark, tear jerker, but instead, we got a space comedy. That’s what GOTG is there for.

The comedy was fine in it, The problem was where they put some of the comedy in it like when Thor's friends The Warriors Three get killed followed up with comedy.

Could have really used just one scene of Thor reuniting with The Warriors Three before they died. Would have made their deaths massively more impactful.
