Ahh, yes. This is a bullshit comic that tries to give a bullshit reason for why it is a "false equivalence" when it is not even slightly a false equivalence.
Well built men and women are what are in most well-drawn comics. There's not false equivalence.
It is near impossible for either men and women to look like comic book characters.
They are both near impossibly attractive (males and females). Also, there are many different body types of men in comic books but most range from highly athletic to professional body-builder levels of physiques.
We know from research that a large portion prefer men with a lean athletic physique (muscles, but not huge...). That's very hard to obtain for most men. That's no different than the silly women drawn in comic books who have large boobs but have a professional figure or fitness competitor's body.
They are both highly sexualized. Comics like the one you posted are dishonest and a perpetuating bullshit regarding this topic. Both sexes are highly sexualized in comic books. They are supposed to represent fantasy versions of humans that are the most sexually attractive, the majority of the time. Even some of the villains are made like that.

Oh yes I fully agree with that. Just the other day there was a comparison between Spider Man and Spider Woman and OH MY GAWD! Spider Woman's ASS was always exaggerated and her boobs make ME feel uncomfortable.... Her face is shown just so you can see her lips and hair is long and everywhere (which impractical if you wanna climb around the city) to obviously look SEXY. Comics are very distasteful I am whole heartedly in agreement and it reaches out into a lot of movies as well. That being said. I believe there is a place where Men and Women can display their sexually attractive features in a mutual celebration of our sexual desires for one another. The world needs a TnA thread.
