According to the account in the GJ Docs, Wilson claims that after Johnson/Brown blew off his requests for them to walk on the sidewalk and walked past his driver side window he put the vehicle in reverse and backed up to block their path while radioing for another officer to come to the scene (which is in the radio traffic log doc). He then called for Brown to come to him. The vehicle he was in was a modified GMC Tahoe Police Cruiser. Per the diagrams the vehicle was in the road at an angle blocking both lanes of traffic with his driver side door (left side) facing the direction Brown and Johnson were coming from, as well as Brown's blood on the inside of the vehicle and on Wilson's firearm. We also have multiple witnesses saying that Brown and the officer had an altercation at the vehicle (FBI Witness #16, for example) and that Brown was at the driver's side window and ran off after the two initial shots were fired. So as improbable as this somehow seems to be, the evidence and witness testimony would appear to support Brown fighting Wilson through the driver's side window of the truck. Even Dorian Johnson initially claimed that Wilson choked Brown through the window of the truck while seated and that the truck was so close that as the officer was trying to exit the vehicle the door hit Brown causing Brown to forcefully push the door closed in self defense. I wish Brown had just been arrested rather than killed, but given all that transpired at the scene, I can't say the killing was criminal.
The Eric Garner case, on the otherhand, should result in the officer going to jail. Choking a man to death (on tape) over selling cigarettes without a permit? C'mon son. A lack of indictment in that case is protest worthy. Not looting/rioting, but protests, boycotts, and civilly shutting down traffic in New York with sit-ins.

It's the manufactured similarities to the Trayvon Martin case that makes Mike Brown a lightning rod. It's billed as unarmed black teen killed by white man, just as Martin/Zimmerman was, rather than looking at the actual particulars of the case. Zimmerman wasn't a cop and SHOULD be in jail for Manslaughter, but due to the ineptitude and overreach of the State Prosecutor trying to get a Murder 2, Zimmerman walked. Darren Wilson was an on duty officer in the act of performing his duties who was assaulted by a suspect who then fled the scene of the altercation and was gunned down. Completely different circumstances. Eric Garner was an adult male in his 40s choked to death, on camera, by a police officer. If he were younger and wearing skinny jeans he'd likely be national news right now. The death of a child invokes stronger emotions, but Garner's situation is far more unjust IMO. Shit should get shut down if Garner's killer walks. Brown is tragic, but I can't say criminal.

It isn't too hard to left hook someone in the face. Like dadudemon I don't bruise that easily either (my massive jowls absorb all the impact).
I've never bruised in my life due to my insane durability, but that's not the issue. Brown walking around to the other side and inserting his rather huge fat and tall ass into the passenger window of a cop car to then left-handed punch a cop for asking him to "walk on the sidewalk" is the issue.
Shit just doesn't add up.

He wasn't on the passenger side, he was on the driver's side, and if Wilson's got his head turned to face Brown, who is to his left, a left hand would connect with the right side of his face.
The hell. People can't decide which side Brown was on.
But taking into account that you're correct, it's odd that Brown who is right-handed (I checked out the video), would throw two left hooks at Wilson's right instead of doing the far easier and more efficient straight jab to the face with his right hand. Hell, he could have combo'd with a right and left jab to the face.

So now Brown not only leaned inside the car, but leaned across from the passenger side to pick a fight?Story sounds more and more BS, to be honest

Pretty sure this hasn't been posted yet:

What also makes that case more disgusting is the civilian who filmed the incident was arrested and set up on fake gun charges by the cops that killed Garner. He's in jail now. NYC Cops have been historically corrupt, but holy shit. This is Gotham level corruption.
Damn, I'm having a hard time expressing my disappointment in that bs.
Edit: Where did you read that? Actual question, this is something so uncanny I'd like to see it myself.
Google "Ramsey Orta". That was the name of the guy.

Not same officers, same department.

No indictment in the Eric Garner case...
There's fine print somewhere, some clause that must protect police from, uh, 'procedural mishap'. I hope this grand jury becomes as transparent as the Brown one, regarding the evidence and such.
It's New York. It'll be as transparent as the Amadou Diallo and Central Park 5 cases were. As in what goes public will get a special treatment to make it palatable to the public. And if that means perhaps being a lil dishonest in spite of the video evidence? Fuhgeddaboudit. Hell, New York has laws on the books that limits the amount the city can payout in wrongful death suits. They've already hedged against it as they know NYC Cops are going to be on some bullshit.
