I think they are overdoing Hulk stock a bit (Hickman saying Hulk is the most powerful being on the Avengers team when that is a complete lie when we have people like Captain Universe and Starbrand on that same team), but I don't think Hulk is more popular than Thor.

I just think writers see Hulk different than what we do. Hell, Pak said that Hulk can beat a merged Superman and Doomsday (Superdoom). He's being wanked everywhere (and I'm loving it).

You haven't been keeping tally then. Even in his own book in his own event Thor didn't look necessarily superior to Hulk. I understand context and that he took on two combatants plus was injured. He still basically one shot Grimm so i considered him a non factor, and he bfred hulk who came out looking none the worse for wear. He ended up unconscious. Look at their most recent depictions. Even in other media like the animated Thor vs Hulk and the Avengers movie depicted his dominance. It's a slightly askew playing field.

Thor and Hulk should be physically equals but with Mjolnir it would be not balanced, so I can see the necessity for Hulk to be a little bit stronger. Gladiator on the other hand, doesn't have the luxury of Mjolnir, only speed and as thus it makes sense that he is as strong as Hulk. My opinion.

Disagree entirely. Thor defeated two beings that was stated as being the most powerful out of the fear group. It doesnt matter how he defeated them, what matters is, he succeeded. Everyone see that as an extremely good showing for Thor and I agree.

The rest of what you said is basically a perception thing because Thor is treated like a top tier in movies, etc...if you're referring to the Animation, Thor did not fight a normal Hulk which is the reason he was defeated. I'm not understanding why you are seeing things different with Thor vs Hulk tbh. The fights are still usually good.

Nah. In Thor vs Hulk animated Banner was taken out of Hulk completely. And the result was he was more relentless and "evil" than ever. There was no stopping that specific version of Hulk, but that doesn't mean Hulk is superior to Thor in normal circumstances.

If you remember the Planet Hulk animated movie I actually think Beta Ray Bill came off looking slightly superior to Hulk.

As for the movie, that's debatable as you'll see in the countless versus thread in the movie versus forum. Hulk was certainly displayed as being stronger, but Thor didn't necessarily bring his full power set to the table, possibly due to the fight being on the hellicarrier. And it was still an Epic fight.

Fights between Thor and Hulk will always be Epic, and if one does completely batter the other there will usually be context around that. So it will never be a definite Thor wins or Hulk wins. But perhaps your right with Hulk getting the edge more often.

With the Surfer fights however it tends to be more of a sure thing. Surfer is usually shown as superior to Hulk but inferior or at best "near equal" to Thor. That's where this Rock, Paper, Scissors thing comes in.

Yeah, states that Angrir and Nul are the most fearsome of the bunch. Probably was talking about Nul but they didn't say any specifics when that statement was said.

Agreed. Went back and read it and that's why I made the correction in my last my from most powerful to most fearsome. With that said, I corrected my error.

I was right. Thor said Nul and Angrir was the greatest of the fear wielders.
