I got an idea, you should visit Syria, Iran, Iraq or Afghanistan and let me know. We would have a lot to talk about since I already been there a few times. Maybe you could visit Iran first since they are the most tolerant of visitors and go from there.

Yeah, as an invader in a foreign country you really get to learn the full picture of the local people. Been to Turkey though, lots of very friendly and welcoming Muslims there.

Go check out Iran though, I think you would do well. Turkey is a vacation destination. 😂

Iran is actually pretty nice from what I hear. Very few Americans who go there ever get into trouble, statistically speaking.

I heard it's beautiful, I would go except for the chances of being locked up are extremely high.

Yes, that's my point. You are equating the population of a war torn country with everyone else who happens to share the same Religion...

If you go looking for trouble, maybe. If you just go to see the sights you're probably fine.

The only danger for you is that they might be suspicious if they find out you're a veteran, but they tend to be most suspicious of American veterans of Iranian background, as those are the best choice of spy. You probably wouldn't get very far as a spy, so they're probably not worried much about you.

Really.... I mean really do you have a clue? Another thing you seem to be clueless on, like most everything else cause you have no real world experience. The people we were fighting for and with were very welcoming. Most if not all the the ANA and Iraqi Army and populace were awesome people as well as the local population. Nothing is more welcoming them them giving us a warm place to stay and a home cooked meal.

Oh boy another useless war.

So, we are agreed, stupid stereotypes about muslims are ignorant and close minded. I'm glad we got settled.

US limiting Turkish Air Strikes?! WTF

http://www.debka.com/article/24765/To-gratify-Tehran-and-Moscow-new-US-Turkish-anti-ISIS-war-campaign-in-Syria-skirts-Assad%E2%80%99s-forces-

If you ever needed a reason not to get involved then the latest batshit deals are it. Getting access to Turkish air bases on the basis of allowing them to bomb the kurds who are themselves fighting ISIS...in order for the US to fight ISIS yet telling the Turks they can't bomb Assad's forces because it'll mean losing Iranian cooperation in fighting ISIS... .

The mind boggles. It's like playing chess with 4 different sets of pieces.

It's less "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" and more of "my friends enemy is the enemy of my enemies friends who are my enemy but also my enemies enemy so is my friend even though they're my friends enemy"

We are ****ed. It's too late to change this backwards ideology now.

There's a bunch of videos posted online, of children (if you can still call them that) cutting off heads of captives. And of gunmen shooting at their heads repeatedly whilst tied on trees, blood gushing out of their heads like a fountain.

Iraq and Syria are savage wastelands. It's like the 'real life' version of the Mad Max series.

They're animals and that's how they should be treated. No amount of compromise or talking is going to change that.

What's alarming is more and more Muslims are joining to their cause at an alarming rate; Muslims from all walks of life, from different places of the world.
Ex-CIA, MI6, FBI, Interpol, Marines, SEALs, Rangers -- these guys are training recruits in warfare against the 'infidels' (meaning everyone who doesn't abide to Islam.)

EDIT: Just some food for thought.

Why don't we just nuke them and get it over with?

If you can find the exact area.

It feels like it's getting to an inevitable point of "us or them." There are plenty of innocents over there, but like some have mentioned, more and more are joining their cause and it seems never ending, it's a constant cycle.

As horrible as it may sound, in order to protect OUR innocents, our children, it honestly seems like it might be best to just kill them all and be done with it.

I know that sounds sick but that's just what it seems like to me.

I read an article about how Saudi Arabia is opposed to ISIS and is lamenting that many of its citizens are being "radicalized" by ISIS, and yet they're only just a little bit different from ISIS in terms of how they run their society and their values. The article argued that only once countries like Saudi Arabia turn away from fundamentalist Islamist values will they be able to truly fight radicalism.

We should really just kill everyone so nobody can threaten anybody ever again.

It's the simplest solution, really.
