Tom Hardy on Suicide Squad:
“Warner Bros. is my home studio and I love them so I was really bummed out. I wanted to work on that and I know the script is really ****ing alley and I also know what’s gonna happen with The Joker and Harley Quinn in that; I won’t give away too much…it’s ****ing alley. And that whole territory is something that I would certainly—I mean, everybody loves The Joker. Everybody loves The Joker. Will Smith is a dope guy, but everybody loves The Joker and that’s gonna, I think, be a very important film for fans.”While some rumors surfaced that Hardy was unhappy with the direction of the script and that’s why he dropped out of Suicide Squad, the actor reveals that schedule overruns on The Revenant are really and truly to blame:
“There’s a very practical element as to why I’ve missed out on that foray, which is because Alejandro [G. Inarritu] has overshot by three months in Calgary, so we’ve got to go back out to Patagonia or Alaska to continue shooting The Revenant which has turned into a much bigger beast than we thought, but that also looks exceptional.”
👆 Can't wait for this.

Cool Ayer interview.
Early predictions is around 700 WW.
700 million? It's incredibly early to call that, it's like saying the Terminator movie after Genisys will probably bring in close to Terminator salvation money.
Dc doesn't have a whole lot of consumer trust after GL & MoS & this Batman has to compare to Nolans Batman. This cinematic universe could go south fast.
(Personally I think Affleck will steal the movie, but it's still wait & see time)

I'm not factoring the whole DC thing. More likely Will Smith, who is still big overseas. MIB 3 made 455 M overseas. Hancock made 396 overseas. For big blockbusters, Will Smith still has it.
Then, there is the whole Joker and Batman that will add more fans to the seats. All depends on how WB markets this. TBH, I think it can do more than what some predict.
Will Smith & Margot Robbie's last movie together failed... Will Smith hasn't been a top draw in a while, he's made A LOT of bad choices.
Again if people don't like Affleck, who is going to be compared to the still fresh in everyone's minds Bale. Hoping he does fine, but Bale is (on average) the better thespian.

No, it didn't fail. It trippled it's budget, which is a modest victory. I'm talking BLOCKBUSTERS. Focus was a smaller picture.

Yeah, but then you're not factoring in the possible DVD/Blue Ray sales that can cancel some of that out.
WB didn't heavily market Focus, because it was a smaller film, which made it's production budget back. It was a modest success.
