Hasn't Thanos always been suicidal?

You mean that self doubt type of thing like he had mid battle in Infinity Gauntlet?

I meant like in that scan it just seems like him being such a cocky sod with Doom. Perhaps he thought he could talk him out of it. But even then I don't think he could have absorbed the power in any way. Just that one occasion with Doom was quite amusing.

I'm confused. Are Franklin and Galactus directly linked in some way? Because when Ben punched Galactus, Franklin said: "it's going to take more than that to knock ME out..."

mmm

Perhaps Franklin animates the husk or something. Might have his energy flowing through him. So like any hit Galactus receives is like Franklin being hit.

Thanos was sadly finished by doom.
So was The Thing.

Thing held back. Doom should be thankful he spared him 👆

No....Doom would have killed him regardless.

You're back already? Dammit. Nobody missed you.

Dont really care about how 30 something year olds feel. 👆

Speculation. Thing's heart wasn't in the fight anyways, Doom should be glad he didn't have to face the Heartforce.

This is not some C-lister like Thanos we are talking about.

Welp, I Gonna say...This issue isn't really that good IMO

All the wait just for this...

(This question isn't meant rudely)

What sort of thing was you expecting? I myself was thinking that Reed and Maker would have already started speaking to Molecule Man already.

Because from what I can see if there is 40 Pages in #9 I don't know how they're gonna fit all of this stuff into it.

I have a feeling they're going to try and stuff 50 pounds of shit into a 5 pound bag in issue #9. There is a LOT that still needs to happen, and trying to cram it all into 40 pages will make it seem very rushed, and/or incomplete, imo. It's a real shame, too... Hickman's SO much better than this story makes him out to be.

It hasn't been terrible or anything--it's just hung right around the mediocre-tier, unfortunately. 🙁

[edit]
That being said, I really do hope the final issue is phenomenal. This series needs to end on a good note. 👆

I'll be honest, I reckon this will seem better once you're able to read it straight through in one go.

I mean sure it'll still have some flaws but I really feel that being so spaced out and delayed has hurt it. But thinking about it I've enjoyed every issue. I mean it helps that I have really enjoyed Hickman's ludicrous saga that's led into this (Fantastic Four, NA/A, Secret Wars).

And I think the final issue should be a good one- Hickman can do epic better than most and it's going to hinge on a big Doom & Reed moment, and I completely trust Hickman with those two characters.

The issues haven't been bad--they just haven't been that good either. In fact, the only issue so far that I thought was great from beginning to end was the very first issue--the war between Earth-616 and Earth-1610. That was fantastic. All the issues since have been mediocre overall, imo.

I really want the finale to be as epic as the first issue was(if not moreso)--and it definitely has the potential to be. As I said above, though: I'm just worried there is too much that needs to happen, and if they try to cram too much into the book, it will seem rushed and sloppy. We saw the same thing happen with the last issue of Final Crisis, and I don't want Secret Wars to suffer the same fate.

Hopefully Hickman comes through in the clutch, though. If anyone can deliver, it's him. 👆

Imagine if Marvel had the capacity to produce issues like multiversity's 'pax americana' and not whatever the hell secret wars #8 was

Issue #9 is all I need to read.

Yeah that last issue of Final Crisis was questionable in how much it wanted to do.

I mean it didn't help that I hadn't read Superman Beyond #1 & #2 when I read it so the last 10 pages or so were very much out of left field.

Editors should do a thing to keep events from being essentially two issues long with filler inside.

I get that it's exactly the opposite that happens 😬

They tried to copy Jim Shooter but failed....

So you skipped 2 or 3 issues [Did you skip Submit before that also?] and got lost?

Wonder why.
