Yah, now the only question is whether or not it has the legs to reach 2 Billion. I'm thinking it will but not gonna bet on it.
The only thing it has going against it is summer competition.

It should break 2b, it's an orgasm of most every MCU hero.
And this is what it has going for it. Repeated viewings from fanboys of like every MCU hero.
Just BP and SM fans alone should bring in a ton of repeat viewings.

Without using any spoilers, let me just say that all of you hulk fans are in for a treat. This is the first movie that marvel has done that treats hulk right and really understands his character. You'll be in tears when you see how perfectly they capture Hulk's power, relevance, and importance. I just wish I could sit next to all the hulk fans and enjoy seeing him get the amount of respect that he finally deserves with all of them. 👆

Hulk was truly a beast in this film. Quan is vindicated in his Hulk over Thor arguments.

😎
Just rewatched it and completely forgot how versatile Culls weapon was, but he also seemed to fluctuate in terms of his power
Spoiler:.
Peter stopped his punch, Panther blasted him back, and Tony sent him flying with a Uni beam
Spoiler:
Tonys fight with Thanos on Titan, might be my favorite MCU fight now
Random thoughts off the top of my head:
Spoiler:
-As a spectacle, the movie is amazing. Huge, great, sweeping parts that really get across how big a deal it is. You actually feel like the universe is at stake.
-The fight scenes are almost all awesome. I felt like the power levels of the Children of Thanos were a bit wonky, especially Corvus and Proxima, but it didn't hurt the movie too much for me. PIS is to be expected.
-Dat Vision nerf though. He got smacked around a fair bit even accounting for the whole "no more phasing" thing.
-Thanos himself is great, imo. His reasoning for what he's doing doesn't really stand up to scrutiny, but I really don't think it's supposed to. He's not Magneto. You're not supposed to side with him, and at no point does the movie try to make you take said side. His reasoning just has to make sense to HIM, and I think it does. I do wish they'd given him a bit more of a reasoning like they did in Infinity Gauntlet, sure, but for the most part it worked I thought. As much as I loathe the wanking the "a villain needs to be the hero in his own story" trope, in this movie it makes sense, and is executed well. He's a well-constructed character, and one of only three or four Marvel villains I really liked. He actually felt like a threat to the heroes. He's good. As is his CGI. He's animated beautifully and looks like Brolin enough to be noticeable. I don't dig the art design, but Starlord commented on it enough that I don't mind.
-I really feel like they missed a beat by not having more of Doctor Strange before this movie. At the end of Doctor Strange he's using energy whips and shields. Impressive sure, but not exactly something that comes with great variety. In Ragnarok we see that he's come along a bit, but I would have liked to see another appearance, even as a cameo, showing us the point between THAT and the guy that briefly had a "transmute-off" with Thanos. And with Strange being easily the most visually interesting hero power-wise, the more of him the better.
-Character wise, I was glad to see that guys like Starlord and Strange got to banter with Tony without getting lost in the shuffle. They had nice scenes, and even Wong, for as little as we got of him, actually felt like he played a part that wasn't just a random background cameo.
-Not nearly enough Cap, but he got one of the best scenes in the movie with "we don't trade lives". I'm guessing he'll be huge in part 2.
-I hope someone sciency shuts up Shuri in part 2. That Banner line made me cringe a bit.
-The tone of the movie is better than I had expected. Comedy was kept mostly to primarily-GOTG scenes (and Drax's line about Gamora made me legit lol), and the funniest lines were more like superhero banter than just bad attempts at humour rammed in to moments when they really didn't belong there. The Russos have actually improved since Civil War, which I like.Predictions for part 2? Loki dead, Vision rebuilt and alive (sans gem). No ****ing idea about Gamora, though if she does come back, I fully expect her to have the role Nebula had in Infinity Gauntlet.

Well,
Spoiler:
we'll very likely see Clint, Ant-Man, Adam Warlock, Captain Marvel... maybe more. Supergiant? Crossbones coming back from the grave? I'm sure Russos prepared tons of good stuff for us.

One slight gripeSpoiler:
I wish they would have left the Dr Strange scene out where he was looking into the future. By doing so, you know the plan is in place and that all the dead are coming back. Would have been more powerful to leave that out in my opinion.
You know, that kinda had to be there as
Spoiler:
otherwise it would make no sense for Strange to give up the Time Gem to Thanos when Strange directly stated that he'd chose protecting the Time Gem over saving Stark. That scene made it pretty clear that out of all the 14+ million futures he viewed, the one future where the heroes eventually win was one where Starks survives the battle against Thanos on Titan

I'm actually genuinely worried we won't see
Spoiler:
Adam Warlock, but if we do, that his role will be vastly reduced. Fully expect to see the others, and yeah, Supergiant could be cool, especially if they use her to turn one of the heroes against the others.

And
Spoiler:
Wasp. Don't forget about Wasp. She's about to be introduced.A few cosmic entities wouldn't hurt, either... at least the ones we know about... Celestials, Eternity, Living Tribunal.
Saw the movie again today and I'm so f*cking satisfied. Becoming addicted to this, need another IW dose, asap.

I plan to see it again, maybe this or next week.
Spoiler:
I have so little interest in Wasp that I don't care. I would hope that IW will tie in to it though. Maybe at the end of the movie Lang or her disappears when the snap happens. A celestial or two would be cool. I keep flip-flopping about Nebula. I can see them giving her a bigger role, but I don't know if they will unless they plan to make her a bigger player, as she would have to be after this.

I had the same question.Where was the artillery and mortars? Where was the CAS? Where was the armor?
The US armed forces would have raped the invasion force.
So I chalk it up to Wakanda not ever engaging in a real war.
The attack happened so fast and quick they had no time to actually react boy.
Besides it was in Wakanda not US soil.
