I was eager to see Thanos in the post-credit scenes, instead we got Bucky!!!!
The way it should be. This was to counter thousands of memes showing Steve unfreezing Bucky "yo, come with us bro, we're going to fight Thanos in space".
Enough of Thanos cameos/short scenes, high time for his full appearance in IW.

You saying "not really" doesn't refute what I said. As PR said, you were not joking. And you re affirmed your dumb race baiting statement after you said you were joking. These are the facts.
I dont need to refute anything you said. Especially when youre pulling the term FACTS out of your ass.
The True Facts are there are entire groups off Butt Hurt DCEU fans and Racists groups against this film from Day 1. Thats already detailed in this thread if your butthurt will allow you to go back and check.
The True Facts also are that Im a DC fan myself. Just frustrated and massively disappointed in the DCEU.
Pr simply said it SEEMED like I wasnt joking. Hes not Butthurt and Refusing to let it go like you. And nor do I honestly give a s***.
If you are another Anti-Marvel or Anti-Black butthurt knob then you can go die for all I care. If not then you need to Relax.

If Marvel wants to make IW the best movie of the 20th century they WILL have to make THANOS as mighty and powerful as the heroes.
For that the audience needs to have a wide knowledge and understanding over the villain.
No cameo-ing Thanos after BP means that audiences won't see the connection between the Infinity War events and Wakanda's.

This movie didn't disappoint. It's definitely up there with Iron Man, Winter Soldier, and Civil War and I will see it again.
It was a good movie. I liked it. I loved the villain killmonger.
But it aint to the tier of CW of Avangers!
It is more to the tier of Ant Man or Spider Man.

I highly disagree. I liked Homecoming, but Black Panther is waaaaaaaaaay better than Ant-Man.
Nahhhh. They are comparable.
Black Panther had it's boring moment whilst Ant Man had a terrible villain.
Id say Black Panther is better than Ant Man, but it is near Ant Man's position in the MCU.
.
Great film, one of the MCU's best. Fresh on the mind, if I don't have Black Panther in the top 5, it's flirting right there at the 6 or 7 spot.
Pros:
- Killmonger is the new top MCU villain in my book.
Spoiler:
Erik actually besting T'Challa fair-and-square in the ritualistic combat to become king was a good move, as opposed to some kind of cheap tactic or secret plan being utilized to usurp the Wakandan throne.
Spoiler:
I liked that they killed off Klaue. Klaue is BP's archnemesis, and Coogler and his co-screenwriter putting him down quickly in the MCU lore was a good move, IMO. Mandarin being an actor and then Killian was stupid in IM3; I much prefere this way of delivering an unexpected plot twist on the big baddie from the comics.
Spoiler:.
another great one-take in the South Korean casino (the same Shanghai casino in Skyfall). His direction in Creedwas stunning, particularly the second-act one-take boxing match, and I was waiting for another one-take. I was not disappointed
Spoiler:.
I didn't know I wanted T'Challa to team up with Martin Freeman's Everett Ross, but this film convinced me post-haste. Great move making him part of T'Challa's inner circle of operatives, and Freeman proves himself again as a drama/action/adventure actor after Sherlock and being the best part of the Hobbit trilogy
Cons:
- Chris Stuckmann mentioned
Spoiler:. You can tell if you're looking.
some sketchy CGI during the cliff scene where T'Challa duels M'Baku
An observation that has been stated on here already: didn't see much of the politically-charged preaching/baiting in the movie.
Spoiler:
T'Challa's traditionalism was challenged by the revelations about T'Chaka, N'Jobu, Zuri, and Killmonger, and Killmonger's statements and actions about colonialism and imperialism provoke consideration though Eric ultimately practically becomes what he trained and fought against in belief since his father was killed. T'Challa made the kingdom of Wakanda a player on the world stage at the film's conclusion, and Erik became a victim of his own personal quest for vengeance and radical desire for reparations on a worldwide scale.
Overall, I give Black Panther at worst an 8/10, at best a 9/10.
EDIT: Spelling.

So you were not joking👆
I'd say that the only real problem I have with the movie is Martin Freeman's character. I get that they need to have a token white guy in the movie so the only white guy isn't a villain but he really was pretty useless and out of place. I didn't enjoy him in the majority of his scenes. It also raises some super awkward implications when
Spoiler:
he talks about how Killmonger was taught by the CIA to commit war crimes, perform assassinations, destabilise governments and take down nations and that "we do it all the time" and the film just kind of moves past that without comment and he gets to continue to be a good guy. Uh, ok. The movie does comdemn Killmongers western imperialism in the end but its a bit unfortunate that the CIA's shittiness is brought up and then not addressed.
Its also notable that the film is far more interested in the plight of African Americans than it is actual Africans. Not that this is a bad thing, its almost to be expected from an American perspective, but I would like to see more of a focus on Africa in a sequel.

Didn't think about that, probably because it gets glossed over so quickly. Good point, I'll need to keep that in mind for my second viewing.
Coogler and co. did have the specific scene of rescuing the Nigerian women from the Boko Haram types in the beginning. Erik also constantly berates the Wakandans for not helping all blacks throughout the world throughout history.
But yes, it would be an interesting direction to see Wakanda go up against an African country with a corrupt warlord or against a multi-country spanning terrorist cell or something like that in the sequel.
Black Panther was entertaining, but I don't think it stands out too much compared to other MCU films (like Thor: Ragnarok or Captain America: The Winter Soldier) in terms of rewatch value, story, or even visual effects. The characters were interesting and well-acted, though, which definitely made up for the sort of average story. I'd give the movie a 7/10.

Thatd be a great place for a sequel to go 👆
