Bloody hell. 192million Opening.

5th biggest of all time. Might end up 6th behind AOU if revised down.

But yeah that’s an Avengers Level Opening. Absolutely killed it.

Am happy. Marvel keeps punching harder every time!!

I am EAGER to see what will happen for Infinity War!!!

Its also notable that the film is far more interested in the plight of African Americans than it is actual Africans. Not that this is a bad thing, its almost to be expected from an American perspective, but I would like to see more of a focus on Africa in a sequel.

I think that's just a problem that's inherently an issue with the character himself, be it in comics or in movies. Unless you bring someone in that has a broader scope in mind, they're not going to reach that far and will continue to write it through the lens of an American.

I did think that it was a nice touch that they used an actual African language instead of making one up, though.

Just got home from seeing this and I liked it a lot. Very entertaining and with depth.

However, not a 10/10 like the hype goes. 9/10 for me.

Nahhhh. They are comparable.

Black Panther had it's boring moment whilst Ant Man had a terrible villain.

Id say Black Panther is better than Ant Man, but it is near Ant Man's position in the MCU.

.

I say not. Ant-Man is in the same class as Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World, and Thor Ragnorak. Those movies were overburdened by forced comedy and would've benefited from taking themselves more seriously. Black Panther's humor came naturally, it explored real issues, and it didn't have a weak villain like the movies I mentioned except Ragnorak).

Good film.

201mill three day opening weekend. Only 5th film in history to do that.

Killed it!

This better beat IM3 now! (It hurts me a little every day that IM3 is still the biggest grossing solo superhero film).

I guess it all depends on how much you like comedy. To me BP is a great film, but it aint among the best. For me atleast.

Just thought I'd post this, it's interesting whether you agree or not.
I personally liked the movie.

Ant-Man was great imo. It was more comedic than the other films, but that isn't a bad thing since it was clearly intended to be less serious. The humor was good and it was creative in the shrinking powers.

^ Bottom line is almost everyone at least Liked it.

Marvel could take the top 2 spots of the year domestically. BP has a chance at $600 million domestic.

Yeah. Could BP reach the Billion?

My wife just pointed out to me that Okoye is Michonne from TWD.

It truly didn't even register to me because Okoye didn't have those nappy dreadlocks.

I recognised her, but it took me a while.

I enjoyed this review. They told me everything I needed to know. While somewhat more interesting, it's ultimately still another comicbook movie. So just as I originally planned I'll wait until video to watch it...

HAHAHAHA! IK!

Same thing happened here, I told my friend that she was Michonne and he wouldn't believe me.

She looked good man! She did a hell of a portrayal. I would have loved to see her as T'Challa's girlfriend though. That would have been more kick ass.
