Jaden Smith isn't that bad of an actor, he did well in the Karate Kid remake.

Agree with the above. Jaden was good in the Karate Kid remake. His problem in AE was the same as Will's. They were both completely miscast as horribly written characters. Jaden is skilled at playing a snarky kid, not a stoic survivor. So I have no problem with him playing Static Shock.

I was actually surprised on how much I enjoyed the KK remake.

That was probably before he completely went bat shit crazy. Most likely due to his upbringing , Scientology and whatever else the fuq goes on in that household.

Isn't DC going about this the wrong way? I think Marvel did well to have several separate films for various characters before the Avengers came out. I think that's probably a big reason The Avengers movies work. Without the separate backstories it will probably just seem like there are too many characters. Not to mention, Joss Whedon is particularly good at juggling multiple characters, so he'll be hard to compete with.

Separate films for Suicide Squad? Not necessary, IMO.

Every actor has duds. Mathew Maconagh did several crappy films before becoming a star.

DC should've went with hiring Tyler James Williams to play the role of Static instead. Would've been perfect. Better than Jaden at least.

Jaden Smith's performances in Pursuit of Happiness and Karate Kid are proof he's capable of being a good actor. I won't be surprised if he ****s up, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt nonetheless.
