Disappointment shall follow.
I might well end up being disappointed. Or I might not be. Won't know until I watch the film. Admittedly, I have some reservations about Will Smith, because I want Deadshot, not "Will Smith as Deadshot". He might overshadow the role a bit. If he'd been playing a more well-known character it probably wouldn't be such a big deal, but where as most people will know who Batman or Superman is, not that many will know who Deadshot is. I actually liked the CW Michael Rowe version a lot, but he's been killed off permanently in that specific DC continuity.
But Suicide Squad just looks like a more fun movie than Batman Vs Superman at this point. Trailer 3 for Batman Vs Superman dampened some of my enthusiasm for it.
New SS trailer already has BVS numbers and soon will catch up to CW. Impressive.
Unofficial trailer views count (official channel + Movieclips + 3rd largest channel whichever that might be) I maintained for the big movies from last year and next year. I looked at the total views on the day of release for movies already released, and current counts for movies yet to release:
Teaser views:
Episode 7: 103M (2 weeks before release)
Suicide Squad: 94M so far
BvS: 85M so far
Jurassic World (day of movie release): 73M
AOU (day of movie release): 73M
Civil War: 64M so far
Furious 7 (day of movie release): 62M
Apocalypse: 53M so far
Trailer #1:
Episode 7: 96M (2 weeks before release)
BvS: 78M to date
AOU: 49M day of movie release
Jurassic World: 40M day of movie release
Suicide Squad: 5.7M in 14 hours
Trailer #2:
Episode 7: 85M (2 weeks before release)
BvS: 44M so farAOU: 41M day of release
Jurassic World: 37M day of release

Yeah BvS is recovering nicely. The DC footage on Tuesday was a big success.Expect more BvS tv spots this weekend during the conference championship games.
I missed it thank goodness...
as for the previews during the games on sunday I will miss those too as I will be changing channels during the commercial breaks 🙂 😆

You see Zack viewings for Trailer 2 of BvS went down an awful lot from Trailer 1 compared to most of the films on that list. It basically halved. So you can't say that's normal.Thankfully the Tv spots are repairing the "damage" though.
Uhhh, how many views does the second trailer have? Remember, the poster who comprised the list counted many outlets.

Youtube views are all but irrelevant. Just look at JW's numbers.SS isn't going to make nearly as much as TFA or JW.
Way too early to tell. So far, it's the most hyped comic book movie of 2016, even surpassing BVS, IMO. Some people on BO forums are predicting close to 1B WW and it could certainly get there.

I'm talking about how much the hype went down with the 2nd trailer. Not about how popular it still was compared to other movies.
That nose dive with the 2nd trailer wasn't normal for such a huge blockbuster.
People are reading way too much into youtube view counts. It doesn’t mean hype went down or anything. It means less people watched the trailer and there could be many reasons for this. Trying to read into it any more than that is an exercise in futility.
Trying to read hype, or box office numbers, or really anything in that is pretty flawed.

Disagree. Look at AOU numbers. They went down as well. Like ares said, youtube hits isn't a good way to look at hype and box office.

Drop wasn't as steep for AOU though.I'm not saying it indicates box office. I'm saying the nose dive BvS views took with it's 2nd trailer was pretty big, and clearly not normal. That's all.
Like I said, just how many views does BVS trailer 2 have? Are you forgetting to count Jimmy Kimmel's count on top of WB's channel and Facebook? If you count those, the drop shouldn't be that steep.
Of course YouTube videos are not the all and end all, but let's not pretend they mean nothing. A film whose trailer only gets 10million views will not get the biggest opening of all time. And notice how Star Wars views were by far ahead of all other trailer views.

Dude just going by the figures you've given above.
