That makes sense.

tbf, it's kinda difficult to talk with a syringe full of propofol in your neck.

Doesn't stop them from trying to scream for help...so annoying.

Got this from the BO boards.

The most encouraging stat for me personally is the escalation in Facebook likes. FB has a much older demo compared to Twitter and the SS page is adding 15k likes daily. BvS was adding 5k daily this far out and hit 15k daily only a week before release. The SS page will have more likes than BvS on day of release.

I'm guessing this cost a combined $300 to $400 million, but does anyone have the actual number?

Question.

If the MCU started with 2 sub par movies then you have Guardians of the Galaxy come out as the 3rd movie in the MCU, and be great, Would that alone bring life into the MCU? Meaning if the MCU was pretty much failing because the first 2 movies were bad would Guardians bring life to the MCU?

I dont think it would. It would be a great movie but it wont revitalize the whole universe. It would take way more than that, and years of overachieving movies one after the other to do that.

^ DCEU's not gonna match Marvel anytime soon. Doesn't mean it can't still be good. Especially now that we're getting films from different directors.

However if SS and WW are both just Meh, then they'll be in trouble.

At this point im more interested in a BCU (batman cinematic universe) than a DCU.
SS falls into a BCU more than the DCU.

SS has always been a DCU comic, not a Bat book. Not sure how the movie will play out, but it should match the comic world. Birds of Prey is more of a Bat book.

^ Given that Batman and the Joker are in it, the film is definitely more in the movie Batverse than the rest of the DCEUverse.

Not really. IMO, a bat book takes place in Gotham. Batman is just a camea, same with Joker. But overall, SS setting should be set around the world. World missions. That's how it has always been.

Joker seems like more than a cameo to me. And Harley Quinn is probably the main character.

Plus it being partly about seeing Batman from the villain's point of view, and rogues like Deadshot and Killer Croc.

It's definitely very Batman related, even if it's got it's own identity.

I think it's already been stated that Joker is just a cameo. At least compared to the other characters.

Most people don't know who Deadshot is and he's not really a Bat-Villain (At least in the COMICS).

Killer Croc and Harley is, but the Suicide Squad also features Flash villains and a magical villain in Enchantress.

It's related, because it's a shared universe.

C'mon. You can't believe that. Even his parts in the trailers are already more than a cameo, actually.

Golgo no way Joker is just a cameo.

Besides you were the one always arguing this will be huge because of Will Smith and The Joker. And now you're saying Joker is just a cameo??

Batman looks like a cameo, but from the sounds of what Ayer is saying, his presence will be felt throughout the film.

Heath's Joker was in TDK only 10 minutes or so. He wasn't in TDK that much. Yes, more than a cameo.

When I said Joker was huge, I meant his PRESENCE. Not screen time. People will want to see Joker no matter how long he's in there. I predict the same thing will happen in SS.

Now for the actual scenes, it looks like the Joker is in 2 main ones. Harley's origin and when Batman captures him. It also looks like he's pulling the strings from behind the curtain. So, I think this will be a Heath thing where he's only in the movie for like 10-15 minutes.

Batman Cinematic Universe comment must've stung G pretty bad vin

I'm all for that, btw. Halfwits from JLA can be Batgod's slaves.

Sorry, it was about 28 minutes for Heath. It felt a lot longer, though.

28mins is kind of normal for a main character tbh. Especially when it's the villain.

Apparently Hulk (including Banner) is only in Avengers for like 10-15mins. But when watching the movie he just seems as main a part of it as the rest of the Avengers.

Someone collected all of Spider-Man's scenes in Civil War and that's just over 5mins IIRC.

I think it depends on the larger story. Here is the pre sale tracking thread.

The Suicide Squad presales met my personal bar for success. All the showtimes at Fullerton and Montebello (basically the 2 easiest lays in SoCal in terms of theaters to sell out) are sold 75% or more within the first 4 hours of tickets going on sale. Both should sell out by the end of the day. My personal saying always is "If you can't sell out those theaters, you can't sell out anywhere"

Irvine Spectrum sales are good as well. Lincoln Square IMAX also selling really well.
