Suicide Squad

Damn, when Quan and LoM agree on something, you know it's bad. But then things aren't looking too promising at this point, though still going to go watch it when I get the chance.

If this really is bad, I will genuinely be flabbergasted. I mean come on. You'd think that at least one in three, in terms of making a really good film, should be doable for a major studio. Especially one with the amount of resources and source material to draw from like WB does.

I mean it's not like we're dealing with something like The Asylum here.

Well for my tastes, Rotten Tomatoes has been spot on more often than not; they certainly were on target as pertains BvS...

As a result, my high hopes for this movie are squishing around in my shoes at current...

I dont get why WB just cant seem to make great DC comics movies...

Other's get ahold of the DC Universe and make magic of it like the makers of Flash did or the crew that did TDKR animated movie...

Maybe they need to get Christopher Nolan to do all of their movies or get some people involved that actually have a track record of making good movies to produce for them...

As much as I hate to say it, quanchi is dead on as pertains the state of DC movies...

They are in a state of ruin...

WB/DC should sell the rights to Marvel. 😂

I never said you couldn't disagree with it.

Three movies and you can't get your universe right. This rich tapestry of characters to use and stories to tell and we get garbage, I don't get it.

Tbh I think we might have been spoiled by Marvel regarding our expectations for comic book movies.

We have to remember DC ain't in charge, WB is. So the better comparisons would be Fox or Sony's Marvel films.

Just have to see what they give and hope there's some entertaining stuff in there for us to appreciate.

The WB CEO could get fired.

He better be praying the new HP film works out.

The sad thing is that Marvel/Disney would probably make a better film with it.

You come begging back after making bold proclamations DC films were your most anticipated films of this year.

100% agreed!

Hopefully this will be better than Ghostbusters or BvS.

DC & Warners were doing extremely well when they had Christopher Nolan in the fold. Now they have Zack Snyder as the 'Godfather' a man who's never been well liked by critics and always been weak with narrative. Isn't the problem obvious?

Whatever input & interference by Disney that happened in the past, it's minor compared to the infighting we're constantly hearing about at Warners. Disney has pretty much done what they said and left Marvel alone (and Lucasfilm.) DC & Warners still can't separate church & state.

And people need to stop excusing Geoff Johns in this. He's had his name connected with these movies since Green Lantern in 2011. His touch in the comics hasn't done anything for their movies.

Sounds like Disney is having the same kind of oversight with Rogue One.

Golgo is probably throwing up. I wonder how long he will take to abandon this film and continue to hype the next DC film.

Let's hope not. Considering how well TFA did, I think they would have better sense than that.

Disney>>Warner at this point. At least Warner has the amazing Harry Potter franchise but the DC films are an embarrassment at this point. Heads will roll. Mark my words.

Right I think that's the root of it though. Rumor has it that the meddling took effect because Disney wanted Rogue One to match the tone of TFA. Apparently Gareth Edwards is barely involved at this point.

Difference between Disney and WB is that Disney leaves Marvel to Marvel Studios and Star Wars to Lucasfilm. They'll only get business instructions from Disney like "we want a Star Wars film every year"

So I'm not worried about Rogue One.
