The relevance is that we give Islam respect as a religion even though thy have not earned it. We are not telling them often enough that they follow a mythical imaginary God.

We do the same with Christianity whereas we should be telling both quite clearly that they are just social clubs and tribes and that their Gods are no better than any of the others and worse if we look at their morals.

Christians and Muslims are idol worshipers and it is these imaginary idols that are at war while it is humans that die.

That is why I like Buddhism so much (at least Nichiren Buddhism). It is very independent, and we are encouraged to be free thinkers.
