Great news is a sequel is being made so we get to laugh and watch the travesty unfold again in a couple years. Maybe in the mean time they can f*cking beg China to let that shitty sequel in.
Oh one more thing, if you think it's possible the controversy caused someone to dislike the movie even more than they normally would, is it not also possible the controversy would cause people to like the movie more than normal? Yet you don't seem to be questioning anyone who said they liked it. Perhaps because the controversy has also caused YOU to want a certain outcome?

How badly it treats a once loved franchise? The movie worships its predecessor and pays so much homage to it. The actors from said franchise are each included and each given a moment for themselves...
Alienating their audience? You mean by putting out a bad trailer that some people overreacted to... Or by having too many women as leads?
