she's had some training, done some pretty good things but has shown def limits. had a decent showing where she knocked hellstrom on his a$$ but did no real damage. versatile as hell. she's powerful but i don't think anyone will have a problem, especially since there is no offensive matter manip--magic can be a ***** that way.
let me know what you all think of nova. i have a couple guys in reserve anyway. and i'm fine with psylocke. her and nico would be an interesting contest.
I thought we weren't finding out who our opponents had until the matches went out. But I'm ok announcing it before then. Smurph and Leo already volunteered some info, so from an equality standpoint, maybe we should too? Of course, my vote would be to punish them for their naivety ( 😈 ) so meh.
That said, I have reasonable guesses as to who everyone is. Even knowing the two we do - then add in my own picks - and there's only so much guesswork left. I have a 50% chance of knowing the exact combo Leo has, and 100% chance of prepping for 3 and being right about 2. So **** it, let's share our drafts, eh? I like a fair fight.
Psylocke sounds like a TP beast, but we all knew we were going to have to protect against TP, yeah? And did we ever get around to outright banning mindrape? I thought we did. Either way, I'm prepped for it, so w/e.
I don't have the time to learn about Nico, so I'll take your word(s) for it. And yes, Nova is damn near the low herald to mid herald line, but he's also a straightforward pick as these things go. The squirrely picks like Nico are always the eyebrow-raising ones for me. Every one of us has pushed limits on more than one occasion, and it's nothing that can't be overcome. I'd rather Leo have his first team in there when he and I go at it in the semis anyway. And my advanced apologies if I lose and inadvertently send a mid herald beast to the finals to face the other winner ( 😛 ).

smurph still seemed iffy on nova which leaves scoob to weigh in on nova. if scoob agrees, he stays, if not i'll redraft someone tomorrow.

Heh. Anyway...
Some of his questionably high feats are cosmic cheese, like surviving black holes (which are anything from minor nuisances to reality-collapsing motherf*ckers depending on what's needed for the story). I never put too much stock in those. His battle feats do put him dangerously close to the line - which I already mentioned - so yeah, I'd consider either low or mid herald to be valid placement for him. I wasn't aware of all of his powers until I browsed the respect thread, so he's more formidable than I originally thought when I saw the pick. But it's hard to push someone over for a few nifty versatility feats. The power feats are what doom or save him, and yeah, they're probably worth a look.
That's just commentary; I'm not changing my earlier opinion.
