i had a lot of trouble seeing raven as digi's though... even though it made sense, i was like "digi took raven??" just seemed more like a smurph character. now, does that include dark raven showings....?
and re: nico: if you know anything about her, you know she can't use a spell more than once. that doesn't mean she can only teleport once, for example. it just means she needs to rephrase the spell to accomplish the same thing. so my question is this--when i show scans, can i reuse the spells she used in the comics? my thought was i could use them to support what i want her to be able to do, but obviously being able to use some of the spells she has already used would be helpful. she's strange in the sense that her power DEMANDS i use magic she has never used in comics. but i would like to use a combo of old/new just to give judges a better frame of reference since it will fall on them to decide if they believe nico can do what i have her doing....
what do you guys think?

My opinion as a judge
"Niko Minoru was able to provide effect Z with phrase Y. /show scan/ Saying phrase X that means the same as Y but worded differently/said in French/Latin etc will make effect Z occur, thus I win and you're all PWNed" is enough of argument route for you.
The power DEMANDS you use commands she never used.
She can't say Teleport, but can say Translocate etc.
As for Raven, Leo asked about Dark Raven. If it's just her giving in to her darker self, I'm assuming I can use it, because it's all within her potential and power set. There are instances of her being forcefully controlled by others (usually Trigon), and I'm deliberately trying to avoid using those. Hopefully that's an acceptable compromise. About 1/3 of her stories involve her darker nature, so it would be a helluva gimp to eliminate all "dark" showings.
I'm excited to see the matches. Should be fun!

Is "dark" more powerful than regular? Does it put her above the LH cap?
my only issue is that at times she goes dark she is often amped somehow via trigon. i think there is something fundamentally different in the 2 versions--ie i don't think she can do some of the stuff dark raven can unless she IS dark raven... maybe i'm wrong. what does everyone else think? someone like konton might know better. could you have chosen a weirder character!? 😠
You guys don't need to freak too much. I'm not basing my strategy on Dark Raven showings. I have some scans I'll use, but the majority are regular ol' Raven.

This is more of a case by case basis. Once or twice, she subverts to her darker self and Trigon has literally nothing to do with it. Like, he's not even in the arc.

Dark is just more ruthless; there's not a ton of variance in power level. The Titans have, at least on one occasion I can recall, put down Dark Raven without resorting to something plot-based.
He sent me a PM about it too. It was adorable.

Amping Rules: Disallowed. Materials that aid a power (i.e. Jeffries/adamantium) are allowed. Power amping is not (i.e. The Ray + Kara)

Prep: 3 seconds in an empty room
TP: Emma limit.
Speed: Up to but not including lightspeed is permissible.
Banned Powers: Speed Force, Time Manip., Duplication, Power Copying, Autonomous Constructs (tech or magic), Offensive Matter Manip., Memory Retention
