Spider-Man: Homecoming

Vulture isn't one of my favorite villains, but I've noticed various people on the internet are being so quick to dismiss him and calling him lame which I think is pretty short sighted and are really underestimating the potential he could have. Especially if they get a great actor to play him. I feel like with a bit of work they can make him a brilliant villain. An bitter scientist who got discarded for being old and mocked for his looks. They should portray him as such. Maybe Toomes could be the creator of the flight gizmo, and the government giving him no credit could be part of his resentment towards everyone.

I also don't understand how people can think that Vulture is lame but Falcon isn't, when they would be quite similar. Falcon's aerial scenes in TWS were among the highlights of the film. But we haven't seen an evil version of that using far deadlier force, which is what Vulture would do, perhaps having a more advanced, sophisticated version that he has invented.

He has the potential, but that design sucks as it shits on the original character.

Don't mind Stilt. He's still upset Spidey's at Marvel but Wolverine is stuck at Fox FOREVER

We're getting Shocker? Yes

Yeah...despite the changing of the race.

Meh that doesn't matter.

If it was a black character changing to a white character it'd matter

I guess its too much to ask to get a live action Kraven.

Oh and Shocker is going to be black because reasons...shocker 😐

"Herman Schultz" - yeah, perfect candidate for getting blacked.

Smh...

Because although Marvel got progressive early in the 1960's, too much of the universe looked like it was populated by white people (DC, even more so.) So changes have eventually happened.

Shocker is the villain? I thought it was going to be the Vulture.

Shocker? That should be fun. Hopefully they don't try to make him a legitimate threat though.

So Electro & now Shocker...?

Anyone else getting that de ja vu feeling?

As long as I get him in his mask the entire time, I don't care. Shockers alterego should have minimum focus.

I'm excited. I love me some Herman.

One's the big bad, the other is just an enforcer. The old Batman/James Bond drill.

I was thinking more of the same special effects...regardless of one emitting from electricity & the other, high pressured air.

And apparently Herman Schultz "once lacked confidence" in himself.
Same as Electro.

why should I since IN MARVEL I FULLY TRUST and second.. All these alleged villains may only have a few minutes of screen time or could be teases for the sequel. thwey could also be canon fodder as well...

Yeah, but Hermans not a psycho. Out of all of Spideys villains, Herman embodies the typical old school New York thug the most. They need to get him right in that he has a short temper and throws down constant threats, but also acts in a more professional and rational manner when carrying out jobs if compared to those like Rhino or Vulture. His motivations are never revenge or targeting Spidey directly. He's always looking towards personal gain, so he's not petty or personal in his encounters with heroes.

His lack of confidence wasn't really like electros either. Just more a healthy crippling fear of encountering heroes that would leave him permanently crippled or killed. The dude used to have a fear of the Punisher too. He's just careful and paranoid, as opposed to unconfident in his abilities. He understood that the world was a dangerous place for a criminal and acted accordingly.

We have yet to have a Spidey villain like him in the movies. I've always liked Herman because he's unique and the most realistic in character.
