Star Wars Battlefront III

Thie season pass is $50.

Yay Dice! 🙂

Isn't that normal price for a season's pass?

Or at least the premium pass in previous BF games.

If Battlefront were F2P, I'd find a $50 pass reasonable to an extent for this clearly half-baked product but being expected to pay $110 total has me telling EA to go shove that season pass where they can later cram a lightsaber.

I know they done similar deals in the past with Battlefield but I'd rather be playing Battlefield at this point. Or Call of Duty. And I detest both.

True enough. If there was an extensive SP campaign it would be a little better.

We could've had a single player campaign but EA/DICE think cutely slapping on cutscenes at the beginning and end of horde mode is good enough because **** you, give us money.

I despise this instant access shit. If you can't bother to play a few matches to rack up enough points to unlock something, why do you bother playing the game?!

And you get Emotes to come with those bundles too! Since Destiny's charging you for those, why not right?!

And two week early access to four planets in the season pass. Gee you shouldn't have.

Make better deals, EA. FFS.

Lol at this game

At least the game's not trying to hide the fact it's a cashgrab. lol

Hahaha.

Finally got through my exams. I didn't get to play the beta as much as I wanted to since school ramped it up, but gun play was good as expected in both third person and first person (I prefered third person though). I had fun with the pod mode, but wasn't feeling the Walker Assault mode. Overall customization on weapons was lacking, but I'm assuming thats because its a beta. I expect the actual game to have waaaaay more weapon variety and customization choices, along with character customization and more 'card' side abilities (cards seemed out of place tbh). Also, didn't like the Hoth map Not a fan of a flat open surface snipefest. Tattooine, on the other hand, had a ton of little crevices to explore and exploit, so I liked it.

Overall, not really a buy at the moment. I need to see whats in the finished product and hope they held back at least 75% of the content from the beta.

Looks like this will be download only even if you buy the disc version of it for the PC, Thanks EA

not like we have super fast internet here in Australia.

bought mine today however won't download and then play until satuday

Apparently Super Star Wars (A New Hope) from the SNES got digitally re-released on the Playstation store, and will be followed by Star Wars Bounty Hunter and some others.

Hopefully other fanfavorite LucasArts games will follow too if this does well enough. Shadows of the Empire would be a dream come true for me, or Battlefront 1 & 2. Any of these I would get over the current Battlefront.

Can anyone post their impressions so far? It seems to be sitting at around a 75/100 average rating with most everyone saying whats there is perfect, but theres not enough content to justify a purchase. I wont be able to get to this until the end of the semester. Too many games I need to finish.

I've been playing the game off and on for two days now and my first impressions are disappointing. I remember a lot of people saying this was going to be, Battlefield but with a Star Wars skin. Personally, that's what i was hoping for. The gameplay is closer to an early version of, Call of duty. This wouldn't have been bad, but the game just isn't very fun. It's not technically bad but again, it's just not very fun. The game play mechanics are smooth but there is no strategy involved and ZERO emphasis on teamwork. The graphics are nice but i don't understand why they are so praised. I've only played this game on the, One and the graphics aren't anything more than, standard, to me.

Because the game is nothing more than a bare bones multiplayer game, i wouldn't rate it higher than a 6/10. There fun to be had here but the majority of it comes, simply from the, Star Wars licensing.

So has anyone else been playing this? I'm curious to hear what everyone thinks. I've been having fun playing it but it still feels like a prototype for the, next installment.

I was wondering what others thought of the choice to leave out game chat. For a game that is designed specifically as a multiplayer game it seems strange to me to leave out chat.

I haven't bought it yet, but I played the beta they had like a month ago. Based off of that and from what I've seen, it seems like a decent game that doesn't feel complete, like you're looking for, and wanting more.

Is this for real?

It's no different than a chef promoting cookware on TV.
