Obama's recent comments about legalizing pot

So you'd rather have a guy whose choice of VP was a homophobe who doesn't want gays to adopt in the White House? OK.....

Additionally, by the 2012 election, Obama had 4 years if experience running the country with the largest economy in the world....sounds pretty qualified.

There are other problems too. I'm not saying this is the case, but think of how this might come off: ignoring whether it is right or wrong, I think everyone can agree that trying to fix an issue that a good majority of people in your country feel needs to be fixed..well, wouldn't that really increase the amount of votes you might get?

But the problem is Obama's two terms are up, so it's almost like he's saying it's not worth it to listen to the people because his career might not benefit from it. I can't help wondering if we allowed our presidents to serve for 3 terms in a row or even if we gave no limit at all..would his stance be different?

Americans are unable to get off sugar and grow morbidly obese and are we supposed to assume they wouldn't smoke themselves into sleepiness all the time?

Smoking pot and driving is dangerous too. Obama hates 'murica.

Showing that you think Obama would be a better president then Romney really shows your ignorance to the real issues of America.

You would rather have a man with zero experience in governing a state much less a nation. Being a junior senator sitting 143 in his seat and voting "present" for most of his votes in the senate, run the country? Rather then a governor of a state who could run a state and before that large companies, private equity firms and a whole host of other things in his career?

Forgot to add, you want a guy who thinks 47% of Americans are freeloaders to be POTUS? OK.....

People drink themselves to sleepiness all the time. No one had a problem there.

Well, alcohol is an actual problem, it just has proved to be impossible to ban without serious consequences.

Romney was a bullet that the US of A luckily dodged.

This is incorrect. Obama's experience at being President of the US > Romney's.

edit: I see Bardock already educated you on this

47% of Americans do not pay taxes and reap the rewards of the 53% who do. What do you call that?

http://money.howstuffworks.com/only-53-percent-pay-income-tax.htm

So who are the 49 percent of Americans who don't pay income taxes? The vast majority are the lowest income households, the elderly and young working families with children.

Those damn elderly freeloaders and people with minimum wage jobs. Why don't they get a job? 😆

Exactly, This is SPARTA

Something tells me you would be a supporter of the Frank Underwood America Works program.

So wait, he's not a hypocrite?

So in your opinion an ex heroin addict shouldn't be allowed to speak about the horrors of heroin use and/or console active addicts?
Seems odd to me.

Do you really feel this way or are you just using what Obama said about marijuana as a springboard for another "I hate Obama" thing?

Spartans seemed to have cared about the elderly:

"A story from the annals of history will highlight their value system. At a council of the Athenians, at which were present representatives of the Spartans, a certain elderly man moved from bench to bench, seeking a place to sit. The Athenians mocked him and did not relinquish a seat to him. When the old man approached the Spartans, every one of them to the person rose to their feet and offered him a seat."

Smoking pot and driving is dangerous. But who said smoking pot while driving should be legal?

Sort of like how booze is legal and yet you still can't legally sell it to minors or go driving with a beer in your hand.

Did Obama make reference to his weed smoking days and say "I used to smoke and now I don't think its s good idea for people to smoke because it wastes youth"

In fact it would most certainly prove the opposite "smoke weed and YES YOU CAN be president"

So you feel accomplished finding that because of a joke relating to a movie quote on a movie forum? Ur lame.

It's about fairness too. If you go to apply for a job and they drug test you and find weed in your system, they probably won't hire you. Yet if they found booze or nicotine in your system? Totally fine.

I had a friend who failed a drug test, tested positive for weed. He was asked by the employers if he used it for medicinal purposes and if he did, he would need documentation to prove it. He obviously didn't have such documentation. Yet if they found booze in his system? They won't be saying "prove to us you need booze for medical reasons or we will not hire you".
