Same here...

After the bullhonky most of this episode had too, I'm kinda done trying to make sense of the show or rant about how it should be, and will just try to still enjoy it for what it is I guess, but good lord if today didn't put a bad taste in my mouth... Usually that's Arrow's job now, but instead it had a better episode this week.

Maybe they just don't like Ray Palmer's actor?

Opening the cage just to beat on Savage is far beyond incompetence.. It's down right idiotic, and not very heroic..

I think more people tend to talk about what the characters should do because of the plot. You very rarely have a plot involving time travel where they spend the entire season trying to stop basically one person. I can't really think of any other shows like that. Even Doctor Who is basically just characters going on random adventures. So I think people expect a bit more common sense.

Yeah, but you have to admit it does almost seem like Ray gets shit on disproportionately compared to the other main characters. Let's face it..if a person did have a grudge against Ray then I'm guessing they don't take the character seriously enough to think that a grudge against him could tank their career.

Though it doesn't necessarily have to be a grudge. Someone could just think it's hilarious to mess with Ray Palmer. Which it kind of is. Remember the team consists of at least 3 murderers that still end up looking better then Ray most of the time lol.

so.. who will be replaced since they are looking to bring in two new members?

You guys are acting like this is the first time a character has been written as disproportionately dumb on TV. If this is a writer grudge, like 50% of the shows that exist have vindictive writers. They're trying to give Ray tragedy, pathos, anger, etc. They're just failing. It's not a grudge. It's mediocrity. You're just misinterpreting it because we tend to approach the comic world in terms of who we like and dislike.

I'm actually completely onboard with expecting the show to have some more common sense about how they handle Savage. It's a recurring fault due to the scenario they've given the characters. But this writer grudge thing is a false bogeyman.

the episode was so terrible that i actually nodded off several times.

what reason was given for them not killing Vandal?

Ass-AIDS

Besides Carter (nevermind that he could just die and reincarnate again if his mind were impossible to get back in that state, while not finishing Savage screws everyone else over), the other reasons for not killing Vandal are a bit painful to want to even say...

edit: And that too I guess.

The finale is another episode or two, and the CW wouldn't allow the last episode to be nothing but the long-awaited team orgy.

Stupid episode with melodramatic scenes with Hawkgirl, ngl in spite of the stupidity of them not killing Vandal the conversations he had with the crew were really cool.

I'm just sick of the stupid drama. All the sexual tension and love/hate crap.

I mean, jesus, Snart, make a choice already. You missed your shot with Barry buddy, gotta work with what you've got.

With every new episode I just hate Hawkgirl more and more. I mean...seriously?! You knew Ray hadn't left the room for that long, but you pick that time to recite some f*cking poem about how you want your ex bf to "come back to you"? 3 minutes after your current fiance left the room?

At this point Ray is no longer a man if he ever actually gets involved again with this horrid woman. He pretty much has to remove his testes at that point. It will officially be the first lesbian relationship we've seen on Legends.

Anyways, I'm really not sure why the characters tend to act surprised when Rip shows he would betray them if it meant saving his wife and child. Literally everything he has been doing has been with the goal of saving them lol. This is personal, it's not about saving the world. If the world gets saved along the way that is just a happy accident.

I don't know man, just seeing this latest episode with them having Ray be stupid enough to free Savage..I just don't know what they're trying to do anymore. We've gone beyond just tragedy and us feeling sorry for him now.

I think his super hero weakness might legitimately be vagina.

Or, he just has bad taste in women, as mentioned before. 😉

Little did Cisco know at the time, he was lucky to have parted ways with Kendra.

Cisco's handling Kendra's loss pretty well.

Maybe he vibed a little something about her future, and realized he dodged a bullet?

I think that's almost worse as they have an otherwise decent character, despite some flaws, being writing not only dumb but out of character just to move the story along: a story that already relies heavily on massive amounts of suspension of disbelief.

It was to the point where I genuinely was hoping Savage stabbing Carter would of killed him, but it didn't. Come on dude, you are thousands of years old..hit a vital f*cking organ when you shank a dude.

I wanted him to die so we could be spared having to see Ray witness Kendra banging her ex soul mate. Probably within a week or two of ending her engagement with Ray.

Actually hold on a minute..not only is Ray kind of a chump for putting up with her, but Carter will be a chump if he gets back with her. Think about it, she f*cked some other dude for years..and was really just using his dick as a distraction. Using it to break the monotony of living in the 1950's. Then agreeing to marry him until Carter comes back in the picture, then Ray is dropped. That is shady through and through, what kind of man wants that kind of female?

Remember although 2 years passed when they were in the 1950's..Kendra jumped onto Ray before that..she didn't even wait that long after Carter had died. It would be hilarious if Carter just said "damn this chick is cruel as f*ck, I'm gonna go bang some strippers, they have dignity". Ray was 100% correct that she used him as a placeholder.

I also don't understand why Stein sent Jackson back to 2016. First of all he didn't even know for sure if that would help him. Second he does realize without the ability to turn into Firestorm that he is kind of useless? Sure he's a smart guy, but that only goes so far. Third, he talks to Savage about how he granted his followers more life or whatever and then Savage says you need Carters blood. So why not use Carters blood? It's not like you have to murder him to get it. Nor would you have to beat him to a bloody pulp. This spaceship doesn't have a friggin syringe?

It's also hilarious that Captain Cold's super villain sister would probably treat Cisco with more respect.

Spoiler:
Snart, nooooooooooooooooooooooooo...!

Well since the next episode's the season finale, I guess the next season will be about the Thanagarian invasion or something?

Spoiler:
It would be pretty cool to see the Thanagarians as antagonists next season.

Also why couldn't it have been Carter(again). Why?

Since Ray's the one whose consistently had nothing going for him (some of which was his own fault now), it kinda would've been more fitting for him to be the one who sacrificed himself as the future foretold, instead of... what happened.

But yeah, the theme became about wanting to change fate and all that, so something had to change there I guess.

Though honestly, Savage being in control of the world really isn't a bad idea to have as a defense force against the future Thanagarian threat, but because it's personal and all that, I guess he'll prolly have to be stopped for good anyway in the season finale...
