Sucks that we still might be stuck with at least one of them if this show is going on with the Thanigarians.

Yep if they want to kill characters off they should kill off the shitty characters. Kendra and Carter are the weak links of this series.

Solid finale.

they finally let Firestorm do something other than throw fireballs.

Kinda mixed on Savage's ending. Felt sorta weak in a way, though I liked how they did the thing with fighting him in three different times/settings at once.

Not being able to go back in time to save Laurel after all the other changes to history they've done, I find a bit hard to believe, but meh. They moved past Sara wanting to do that kinda quick.

I wonder if the ending is any indication as to whether or how we'll get Snart back. I'd hate for him to return to the team but without his memories/experience from this past season. It'd be character regression.

Thought this finale was pretty solid. Sara got her big 1v1 fight,Firestorm can do something other than "flame on", Ray gets a shrinking...ray, and the hawks are seemingly gone for good.

Yeah Savage's exit was kind of weak but other than buffalo him up even more I'm not sure what else could have been done.

yeah finally glad this show produced another good eppy... Finally saw Firestorm do something comic booky which I was glad to see..

Well heck. They had to give the

JSA
. I'm actively removing shows from my list of things to watch. This was - and, tbh, still is - on the chopping block. And now arguably my favorite team in comics (and certainly in DC) shows up. I'm probably saving myself some horror at watching them butcher it by not watching it, but if S2 starts and everyone is suspiciously hiding boners at how much better it's gotten, I may give it a whirl.

Solid finale, otherwise. Better wrap-up than expected, tbh.

One thing I really hope they do is give everyone a more cosmic threat next season. Jobbing to Savage all season was weak. They need something legit to cut their teeth on.

If your favorite team is the JSA then I will warn you to avoid watching the season 9 episode of Smallville with them in it, assuming you haven't witnessed the horror already.

Savage was the one jobbing, he goes from fighting all of Arrow to getting his ass kicked by Rory, Hawkgirl, and being a glorified knife thrower. He was a good character but a pisspoor threat tbh

I did. But that was a one-off episode (or possibly two-parter?). It's buried in the annals of history. This looks to be a recurring role for them, and their introduction into the larger Arrow-verse. Much more at stake.

I'm also not as hard on Smallville as some. Sure, it had a lot of miscues, but it actually had some heart in its attempt to be a true coming-of-age Superman tale.

Agreed. Given that half his dialogue is variations on a sneer, I thought the guy playing him did a reasonably good job being menacing.

Savage certainly was the albatross hanging around this shows neck. Remember when Rip kicked his ass in like episode 3? How are you supposed to take him seriously as a threat when the worse fighter in the group beats the villain that freaking early?

I'd say Rip is a better fighter than Ray, tbh, but yeah, Savage should be above someone like Rip.

Any theories on who the new cast members will be? I've read we'll be getting one new male and one female, and I doubt Hourman is going to be it given his actor.

Well damn, this show actually got pretty good in the last few episodes of the season.

Honestly, out of the three finales of Arrow/Flash/LoT, I enjoyed this one the most. Barry ruined the Flash finale with his dumbassery in the final moments, and the Arrow finale was just plain shit.

👆

Flash is still by far the best show IMO, but I agree Legends had the best finale. Honestly I though this show was totally meh, then since that episode with the giant future robot attacking them I've been loving it.

Pissed about Snart though.

They could probably work him back into the show without too much hassle. Just jump back a week before he was originally recruited and recruit him again there, or some other time travel related excuse.

Problem is because he saved them all by being blowing up the nexus thing that helped the time masters, I don't see how you could change his past like that.

There again with the stuff they've done in The Flash I doubt they'd worry too much about paradox's.

Well, should still work, in the wacky show time travel context they tend to throw out, if they bring the "earlier" Cold back to a time before he was recruited the 2nd time, after finishing the s2 mission. Or maybe, like with the Flash, it could potentially simply create a separate time line. Or some time remnant nonsense. Who knows? Their explanation on how time works seems to vary between shows/episodes of shows. Point is, if they really want to bring Cold back, they can easily cook up some plot nonsense to do so.

^ Of course they could bring any character back in that way. But if they do that then it would kind of take any impact/emotion away the next time a character "dies".

I mean they've already brought Hawkman back.
